I don't really know where this came from, but someone posted this new trailer of Metal Gear Solid 4 on nicovideo.jp earlier today, and as always it's plain awesome.
I wish this game was on Xbox 360. I sold my Ps3 1 month after I bought it...I sure as H*ll ain't goner get another one cos it sucks bawls, but d*mn I wan't this game =S

I got so many people on my Live friends list who are constantly begrudging the fact that they chose the console without MGS or FF, hoping some miracle will happen and they'll both come one day. It truly makes me lol.

The footage does all look old. I'm looking forward to the game and all, but I do wish they'd lose the 'yellow' look to the game. Maybe the 'Raiden' point of this game will be like Wizard of Oz where suddenly everything is in color!
I think Kojima was just playing the typical "Japanese modesty" angle. A Japanese person reading all that would have the opposite reaction a Westerner would.

I always thought the Japanese VA for Snake always sounded a bit too old, but he fits the bill perfectly for MGS4. Got to wait and see how Hayter plays old Snake before I decide which is better.

I believe the filter is in place just for the trailer. Anyway, while some of the footage is old, some of it is stuff we saw at E3 2006 only finalized with the new Snake model in place. The redone Graveyard Scene looks better than before.

You can hear Hayter's voice in the latest English trailers. The voice is exactly the same as in every MGS game, maybe a tiny bit grittier, but overal the same. So English all the way for me.

On second thoughts it's probably best that they don't. Movie licenses are always crap anyway.
I liked everything that I saw in the trailer. My only gripe with this game is the way they washed out the color of everything. I can't understand why the developers would want the entire game to look this way. It doesn't seem to be easy on the eyes. There should be an option for something like colors and contrast. I guess I'll have to borrow my friend's PS3 to play this one. Surely I would never buy one just to play this game. It seems like a good time to be a gamer these days. Can't go wrong with either system with the Wii being an exception. When all your friends go home, the Wii gets no love.
