Xbox 360

Microsoft finally released some medias for the XBLA release of Banjo-Kazooie. And as expected, it's the good old N64 Banjo-Kazooie, rendered in 720p. Why the secret in the first place?

This was the real Banjo, that's how it plays and not the new one which seems to be more of a racing game then platforming :(

I somewhat agree, the vehicles may have been an uncessary addition, but it still plays like a platform game, only now you use vehicles to acess new areas and what naught. The only racing involved is for some of the missions.

And I'd like to see some more Rare games ported over to the Arcade. Jet Force Gemini, Perfect Dark and Blast Corps would be great.

Apparently there are rumours that the secret areas in this game - which were supposed to be unlocked in the sequel but where dropped when the N64 was redesigned - will be appearing in this version of the game so we'll finally be able to see EVERYTHING.
Well not really. Sure, they're bringing back Swop n' Shop, but it doesn't work the same way it would have before, it's just there to unlock stuff in Nuts n' Bolts, which it obviously wasn't designed for in the first place. They just changed what it does... we may never know how it was going to work originall.

The second game is being released next year as well, and also includes the stop n' swap features.

Fuckin loved this game. I reworked the original textures for this game once and got bored of doing it. It would be great if Rare did the same for this release, as you can see, it adds a bit of new life to the game.
You absolutely put life in that game man, It was a fine game when it got released on N64, even though our tastes had been matured up with more gothic games on PS1, still I liked it well over Mario64 !!!
