Xbox 360 PS3

Konami just released the PSN version of the Pro Evolution Soccer 2009 demo, while it came up on the Marketplace a couple of hours ago. Here's a gameplay video of the Xbox 360 version, showing four of the six teams available. I've always been a huge PES fan but I think it's too soon to judge the demo, since I've only played it for a couple of minutes. But just like the internet rumour says, it seems like the game is more like the previous PS2 games now. I only played in 3/5 difficulty this time, and the camera used is wide (many prefer "Normal long", more zoomed in).

As a fan going back to the days of ISS i have to agree with box and others to say this really is a pile of pap. Putting it bluntly this is worse than 08.

I'm afraid, as a former PES fan, I have to disagree.

The core of the PES gameplay is there, but they are clouded out by the robotic animations and overall crap presentation. I guess if you're looking for arcadey fun, PES 09 is the game for you. But many of us want a real football simulation, and I think FIFA 09 delivers in that regard.

As an overall package, FIFA is streets ahead.
What he said.
PES = smurfs running around..
Fun if you like that, but if you like real actual football irl, PES is nothing like that.
Fifa is for real football fans, because its at least attempting to be somewhat realistic and bring the tactical aspects into the gameplay.

You guys need to wake up, its not "cool" to hate EA Sports games anymore, ever since the 360 and PS3 were released, EA Sports games have been incredibly well polished quality games, every single one of them.
Its a complete 180 by the company, but they did it, and deserve the recognition for it.

Dingleberry sums it up for me really, well said mate.

I ain't a fan of either, I just play what I think is the best and since last year it has been Fifa, pure and simple.

I have Fifa 09 and love it to bits, I played the PES 2009 demo and found it to be very disappointing.

Fifa for me again this year then.

I played the demo and it reminded me very much on the FIFA Street series.

The players move sooo fast, it made me laugh.

I guess EA did exactly the right thing by devepoling two football games, a realistic one and the other shitty one.

I used to hate EA and loved PES... well, the two demos woke me up...
