Are you kidding? It still looks great. Did you honestly think that in-game, the game would look as good as the THAT trailer? Even in the action scenes?

We don't need to speculate whether the game will look great or not because we have that demo that lookS PHENOMENAL it's obvious that some screenshots don't do justice to a game. There is already gameplay proof that the game will look stunning what more do you need, judging of screenshot seems a bit fanboyish TBH.

I do give props to Cage for what he is trying to acheive here, but the thing I expected to impressive me the most, probably its the worst effort in years in a game that should be the best: The lip-synch and acting is SO BAD!

The other parts were really good.

Actually the scene these images are from looks just as assy in motion. Feel free to have a look at this PHENOMENAL video posted in the other thread. http://kotaku.com/5265527/finally-some-heavy-rain-...

Disagree, it seemed fine to me in that trailer.

As always, lets just remember that graphix mean nothing compared to good gameplay & story !!. I only completed Farenheit in 2008 and even with its last-gen visuals, I thought that it was better than most current-gen games as it told a gripping story, had memorable characters and kept me interested right through to its conclusion.

Quantic Dream will not let us down and I guarantee that this game will be an absolute gaming masterpiece!.

To be honest it doesn't look as good as the earlier footage of that reporter woman getting attacket inside a house. And as we learn from GTTV that part isn't even in the game. Wonder why that is ? maybe the developers are afraid to put it in cos' people would go back and look at the earlier released footage and realize how big of a downgrade has happend? hmm..

But as Fr0sty stated, it's not about the grahpics. If the story and the atmosphere delivers, Heavy Rain will succeed. Can't wait to see more!

Trailer?... there are at least 3 diferent captures of footage from the GTInterview and the worst is when the detective is calling out the big black dude... worst than bad: dissapointing!

Now the club/strip scenes were hot!

thats the one thing I still can't compreend why they decided to not include it, the premisse is stellar.

The nightclub scene gameplay video on GameTrailers is some of the best graphics of this generation next to Killzone 2, if you think this game has poor visuals you're a fool. It's already surpassed the original trailer in terms of graphical quality.

I am really looking for this game. I am kind of yearning for some real themes , getting tired of all those monsters , robots and stuff. It would be nice to have some more realistic games for a change. I think that Condemned could be that kind of game but lost it's ways putting those unrealistic elements on the game. I hope that Heavy Rain doesn't make that same mistake. So far so good though.

When will the videos be posted here gamersyde?

The videos are just stunning. the lighting, the animation the deforming mud...everything is spearheadedly rendered. I love how raindrops are rendered on characters' faces. the characters' eyes expressions are a bit dead right now but its already becoming a full blown interactive movie like thing. moreover:

-it has around 60 chapters that are totally without any fixed conclusion. every action changes the entire scenario.

-it has full 3D shop spaces where you get to explore and deal things.

its a solid looking interactive movie thing with drop dead gorgeousvisuals. its funny it looks better than alan wake right now being in the same genre somehow.

Betting this game is gonna suck. So much hype surrounding the graphics and not one clue it's actually any fun to play.

Edit: Damn, only just saw the footage, talk about dull. The voice acting is terrible, the script is cliche, and the whole 3 minute video consisted of nothing but QTEs. Ninja Blade got a ton of hate for the quick time events, but people still love this? Graphic whores mayhaps?

Their previous game was good, definately different but I wouldn't say it was amazing. It had some very crappy moments in it, like the whole boxing part. It was just ultimately pointless and seemed like they needed to fill up the game with anything to make it seem longer.
There wasn't enough detective work or hiding bodies being a criminal and it was more linear than people claim it isn't.
That being said this looks just as interesting, the 4 main characters and the ability to carry on even if 3 of them die is a great idea. I agree the voice acting looks shoddy in places but I can overlook that if this game offers something different.
I never complain about QTE's, I enjoy them as long as they aren't the whole game.

You've obviously never played Indigo Prophecy/Fahrenheit then. This game will be spectacular--certainly better than the ton of "me too" crap and shooters that have been releasing the last few years

You liked Indigo prophecy? Buy it without reservations, its the sequel with another name.

If you hated it, don't pre-order so fast, wait for a demo.

Having seen the latest gameplay videos, I have to say the graphics aren't as impressive as the gameplay shown at E3 last year. Not bad, but not great either. The atmosphere is excellent though, and the lip syncing seems fine as well. The voice acting however...boody awfull...atleast in the vid with that garage.

I usually hate quicktime events, but in a game like this it's a bit more tolerable than lets say an action game like GOW or Ninja Blade. The bit I've played of Fahrenheit, I definitely enjoyed so I'm definitely keeping an eye out for this one.

oh please gamersyde a divx version of the video too and that dev interview video also. its going to be a great and innovative game. the skin details are awesome. this alongside uncharted 2, god of war 3 and Trico are my biggest attractions for the E3.

the night club environment in the dev interview video with lots and lots of NPCs and that outside daytime rendering scene is the most beautiful thing this generation yet. if its photorealism gets to the right ends it might surpass the visual fidelity of Killzone 2 or Uncharted 2.

God of War 3 is gonna rock hard, I love Sony Santa Monica! Their games are so polished and cinematic, Uncharted 2 looks interesting too, I just love Naughty Dog ever since Jak 3! Trico...I enjoyed playing Team Ico's games but they aren't a system seller to me...I personally like action games, adventure games are ok in my book.

Can't wait for PS3 price drop! $299 PS3 Slim = Day 1
