Full Text: Coming to a PS3 near you this November? The mysterious PS3 Oblivion page lists a release date of November 6, 2006. Aside from a mocked-up box image and a price of $59.99, the page lists virtually no other details. There's a generic list of game features, but nothing to differentiate it from the original Xbox 360 and PC versions. We've put the call out to Bethesda developer and co-publisher Bethesda Softworks -- stay tuned for the official response. --- |

2006-07-23 01:49:13 It may look better not because the PS3 is superior but because of longer development time. However, the only thing gamers are going to notice is that the PS3 is 600 dollars and the 360 is 400 dollars, and I think gamers will go with the 360 in the end. |

The xbox 1 was superior to the PS2 in every way, but people still bought the PS2 despite that. The price of the PS3 will be a big problem for it, even if it gets oblivion. That said, I dont think Oblivion is coming to the PS3. Until Bethesda says it, i wont believe it. --- |

I'd hate to see MS lose a powerful "exclusive" though--until we see Mass Effect hit it's the keystone to the X360's rpg lineup. |

2006-07-23 17:09:40 Call me bitter (partly because I am) but MS exclusives are starting to look like Capcom's "platform exclusives". Whatever we get that's cool, the PC gets down the line anyway, with better graphics of course. It's like we get the shoddy, stuttering preview of the game that'll be fully realised on PC anyway. --- |
