I really hope this is true, Saints Row may be a GTA rip-off but unlike some other GTA-wannabes it’s doing it right. And in some areas improves on GTA as well. It’s a shame to be held off by such things like choppy frame rates…

I like what I see! Saint's Row is going to be much better than GTA if you ask me, one of my first reason is that the game doesn't try to be too serious, unlike GTA.

Well, there is A LOT of funny stuff in GTA, but that's the overall feeling I get about playing it.

I think Saints Row while it has some great voice actors and may boast some improvements over GTA i still have my doubts that the story will be able to keep me as interested as GTA's story did, but I'm open to being proven wrong. Then again there are a fair share of games I've taken risks on without being sure what I'd get, but too my amazement I don't think I've made any outright mistakes on my purchases yet (except pdz) I TOTALLY got suckered into that one lol damn you microsoft!

The frame has improved somewhat, but we'll see for sure when the game releases.

Good, there seems to be some improvement anyway, not nearly as good as it should be though.

I really hope the framerate will be stable and the tearing will be at a minimum when the game launches, but I'm not convinced yet...

The final game will have a better framerate, whether it's acceptable we'll have to see as the games have been down to that and only that. This was supposedly a near launch title.

The demo code was forked from the main version very early this year and it looks to me like they got that demo code running acceptably for e3 and that was it. The actual proper game will have had 6 months or so more optimsation work / polishing on it. It's been content complete for ages.

Fingers crossed as I'm looking forward to the Multiplayer on this :D

The FPS will be acceptable, look at the FN3 Demo, its FPS was like at 10 at best. But come the end they had it working great.

So will Saints Row, yee of little faith!

I don't know what game you were playing but my FNR3 demo had an acceptable framerate, the animations weren't as smooth as the final game, and the graphics weren't as good, but damn, nowehre near 10

The FPS was awful on the demo!

It was like i was watching it in Slow motion! And the FPS drops in the SR demo is equal to the average FPS in the FN demo

Isn't everybody when it comes to consolegames? Because there is no way to check what fps a consolegame runs at, so afaik everybody is just guessing and throwing numbers when discussing it..

On PC there is a way in every game to check, but on my Xbox 360 I'm just happy when a game looks and feels smooth, I couldn't care less if it was 30 or 60 fps or whatever, I can't check anyway..

I can't wait for Saints Row to come out end of this month, because I'm really in need of a new Xbox 360 game I like.. I hope the game scores good in reviews, and that any fps etc issues that were in the demo are solved.. And if the MP turns out to be fun aswell, I'll buy it.. I'll pick it over Dead Rising (which comes out at the same time overhere)..
