2006-09-21 22:27:29 A complete copy of the game will cost gamers somewhere between $426.50 and $975, and that's without factoring in whatever Sony decides to charge for the menus (since that's all you'll get with GT HD: Classic). LMAO are sony trying to kill themselves ? cause they're killing me .. *ouch a stitch* --- |

2006-09-21 22:29:03 I think this was lost in translation somewhere, simply because NeoGaf implied that it in fact came with alot of cars, and then others will be made available along the way. But if not then it's a bad business model, as long as GT5 doesn't do this it's fine. |

2006-09-21 22:31:53 In reply to roxwell (2006-09-21 22:16:22) Posted by roxwell True, but you of all people must have seen this coming? Look how they was milking Oblivion. Sony plans on releasing a version of the game with NO CARS/Few cars. And this is GT we are talking about? The last version had 700+ cars, and considering this is basically the same game with online and HD resolution, I wonder what their excuse is. I payed for a PGR3 car pack with ~12 cars and basically, it rounds up to what Sony is supposedly planning on charging. The difference here is that PGR3 was already a very complete game, and a completely new product with next gen graphics and all (Not PGR2 HD). So basically this is the deal: You buy PGR3 and get a complete game with 80 cars for $60 dollars. or You buy GT HD with no cars, try to match PGR3's number of cars, and let's say the game costs you $1 dollar (yeah right). At .75c a car, you pay $60 + the $1 dollar the game cost you. You pay $61. Of course, I highly doubt the game will cost you one dollar only. But we are comparing to PGR3, a game that usually includes a healthy amount of cars, but nothing massive like Forza or GT4. So, if we compare to something in more direct competition like Forza 2 that is going to include 300+ cars, you end up paying ~$225 to match the number of cars you are getting in Forza 2. And let's not forget it's just GT HD, and let's not forget you got 750 cars last gen...... I don't know, to me this is totally unnaceptable. This is some serious s*** Sony is planning here. --- |

2006-09-22 00:01:30 In reply to Jato (2006-09-21 23:04:32) Posted by Jato You know Einstein failed for mathematics, right? ;) Ontopic, if true, that's just fucking ridiculous, that's all I can say! So I asked wikipedia, and I found this: "The recurring rumor that Einstein failed in mathematics during his education is untrue. On the contrary, Einstein has always shown great talent at mathematics. The grades system of Switzerland where 6 is the best achievable mark may have stirred confusion amongst those with the German grades system in mind, 1 being the best achievable mark there. By age 15 however, Albert Einstein received poor grades in history, languages and geography" Now that sounds more like it. And on another note, failing a class doesn't entirely mean you don't understand the material. What if you know all about history, absolutely ALL about history, but you don't like writing and so your writing is pretty bad. The final research paper is worth 70% of your grade......you failed the class, doesn't mean much. --- |

2006-09-22 03:22:14 That sucks. If it's true, Sony sucks. Don't try to deny it anymore, they suck. They're greedy. Greedy and sucky. --- |

2006-09-22 06:24:07 A greedy mega-corporation..no wai! Microsoft is all hugs and kisses though? Aparently there's not gonna be two SKU's--that part was wrong--microtransactions are a given though. I blame Apple--they proved that people are willing to pay out the arse for crap that the same people used to get for free.. |
