Not so good reviews (or atleast not as good as most were probably expecting) I kinda expected this. The gameplay is impressive initially, but I always worried this game's story probably wouldn't have enough to keep it interesting. It's like mission shoot shoot shoot cutscene in gears for example there are things happening in the middle of gameplay that are keeping the game interesting.

Its likely still going to sell really well though.

I like heavy action and massive killing and lots of bosses, but there is one thing i didn't like in the demo, the sen of the aim is to slow hope u can change it in settings in the full game.

I heard rumers that they alredy are planning Lost planet 2 alredy.

I'm actually pretty surprised by the hype this game is getting.

To me, the controls are severely lacking, and though the graphics are pretty good and the implementation of the mechs is nicely done aswell, the controls kill it for me.
Also, I'm not a great fan of mechs and I hate snow levels, so I guess this isn't a game for me anyways.

I can see people liking this game and it's probably a good game, but I'm not so sure it's as good as many tend to make you believe...

It will average 78-80% I reckon. I've heard the campaign is pretty short but there is enough reasons to go back and replay it again.

Reviewers very rarely go back and replay a game again even if it's good so I'm expecting a lot of bitching about how short it is after they've piled through it on easy.

Eurogamer to give it 1/10 after someone sneezed at them on Xbox Live.

Yup, there was a time when I thought it would get AAA reviews, or generally high reviews, then I started to lose the hype and now the low reviews are coming, can't say I'm surprised.

"That second video is actually a bit dissapointing. Why? Because I see no improvements on the gameplay at all from the E3 demo. It's the same thing. Do you plan on doing a third part for this game Blim? I'm hoping the game has a bit more variety, and that the AI gets A LOT better."

Well it seems like it's not going to happen. Like I said in the thread about upcoming games in 2007, some games will dissapoint, some will not live up to the hype, and some will get delayed, looks to me like LP disappointed.

man screw the reviews, LP looks amazing as hell. Reviews are not reviewed by a lot of people, rather "one person" in different parts of the game industry saying what they think.
I think that the gameplay system is great, easy to learn and the aim...well lets just say that you guys cant aim, simple as that. No wonder I am always on top at #1 list on the online demo with full 16 people ravaging the battlefield with my gameplay.

When the LP demo came out in events and such how come a lot of people loved it and such, but now when the full game is out they dont like it so much? Dumb thing.

I am like Kenshin here, 2 weeks and damn that Collector's Edition will be mine, with the soundtrack included and other goodies!!!

I tend to agree with reviews, at least those from good sources like Gamespot. Now, when the average reviews all say it's an ok game only, I also tend to agree.

And people always come up with the line of "It's just an opinion", while that's true, good reviewers provide good professional opinions.........there are many of them at gamespot (GregK especially), and they have gained my respect, so their opinion tends to agree with mine.

But if you like the game so much, good for you!

The only guy I listen to is Greg Kasavin he always has a great taste in games, and I get the feeling he is a sword freak he REALLY loves Ninja Gaiden haha.
But yeah I knew it form the start to ignore the reviews and what everyone else is gonna say about LP, because "I" am the one who is gonna spend MY money so I will take my own chances.

Although some games for me are doubtful like Far Cry Instincts, I watched the video review like 2 times before knowing if I should get it or not...and such.
But Lost Planet? I am glad there was a E3 demo which was old, and the new online demo with some upgraded stuff, knowing how the singleplayer is gonna be like, even better.

Blue Dragon is an unimaginative JRPG featuring a myriad of JRPG cliches and very redundant looking characters. To even call this game "original" in any way is an insult to every great JRPG made.

I'm with the "screw the reviews" crowd. I played the demo, I loved what I played and I was ready to buy the game way back in May at E3, as is based on the demo. The reviewers can rank it as low as they want - they did the same to Chromehounds, and look how that turned out. At the end of the day, all I know is what I play. And from the demos that I have already played, I am sold. See the rest of you guys online Live in two weeks when this game hits the shelves.

As I know is that if you pre-order LP Collectors Edition you get a free limited faceplate of LP for free, and thats only "Europe". While I typed "Europe" like this is because GAME can only get it in UK not in Sweden which sucks balls. I am gonna try out with EBGames and see if they get get the faceplate, because my main point is to get Collector's Edition or I am not buying it at all.
GAME staff even told me that they are not sure if they get CE or not, because not so many people have pre-ordered. If it wont come out I am gonna convince my father to lend me his VISA card to get it online.

None of those magazines that has actually reviewed it thus far are mags I really know / respect their opinion. I'll wait for more reviews to come in before assuming that it's going to get panned critically. OXM and Gamepro hardly count for anything.

the only problem i have with the games is the character moves too slow in the snow

about the aiming u just have too get use to it.

So you are saying that you can run as hell in deep snow? Holy shit, didnt know that. Gonna travel to the Antarctica and run fast in deep snow and try not to freeze to death.

Now to a serious thing...every movement in LP is realistic. The falling, running, dodging, jumping and ground shakes and he moves wierdly like he lost his balance.
You judging the game base on how slow he runs is stupid.

Wait lost planet is realistic? I think you're losing it Sath ;)

I do think the characters movement speed is a bit slow for your average shooter, regardless of what he may be walking through..but I think the grappling hook sorta is meant to make up for that a little bit. You're supposed to rely on it quite a bit, I think..and it makes getting around a bit easier/quicker.

Every movement in LP is realistic, especially the grappling, flying through the air action--and falling from extreme distances without taking much if any damage ;)

Grift, movements are realistic, i didnt say LP is realistic.
And I wanted to see you run fast as the next Halo in that coldness and thick snow and see how fast you can run while holding a weapon and trying to aim.
And I intend to use the grappling hook alot when I want to get somehwere fast enough, thats what I have always been doing.

Yeah, the movements, as in the character maneuvering through the snow are pretty realistic. If you've ever been in knee deep snow, like 3-4ft, you know what I'm talking about. Try running fast in that, yea, its impossible.
