Quite frankly, it looks amazing, theonly issue seems to be the framerate,hopefully hat'll be fixed by release. If everything goes well, this is looking like one of the best looking next gen games out there. The detail even on the hundreds of soldiers is very impressive imo.

Very nice. Can't wait for this one to release. Heck, I can't wait for anything to release now that MotorStorm and Heavenly Sword got pushed back :(.

It might as well be official. Gamespot is reporting it as a Q2 2007 title, and Gamestop has it listed as a June 2007 title. Those two references are notorious for being accurate when it comes to release dates. Not necessarily exact dates, but games don't come out before they say they do, almost always after.

The information Sony gave me as a Game Advisory Panel member also stated that HS would be released Fall 2007. I also believe a Sony Rep stated that the Heavenly Sword March 6th date was a bit premature. As far a MotorStorm, I believe its coming soon.But 3 months is a long time to wait for new games.

I'm not seeing a Q1 lineup like the 360 had with Fight Night Round 3, GRAW, and Oblivion. Those titles are what kept me holding onto my 360, instead of ebaying it for $800 or so in January. Sure, the PS3 has got those same exact games, but they're aging. We need something new. Of course, I'll end up keeping it anyway, but only because I couldn't even get $30 more than I paid if I wanted to =P.

Ridge Racer 7, Resistance, Motorstorm, Virtua Fighter 5, F1:CE..there's some nice Q1 stuff on PS3 already. I don't think the situation is nearly as bad as some people are making it out to be. I do think that there should be more software, but there's some good stuff here already and more coming soon.

I guess I'm partially satisfied because it's not my primary console or platform, but I still think that it's getting a bad wrap.

RR7 and Resistance are launch titles, not Q1 2007 titles. VF5, not my thing. Not a fighter fan, and VF never appealed to me. No online is a huge disappointment to me as well. F1, now that has some potential. I'd like to see some of the more impressive tracks and other lighting conditions in the full version, as well as online. I think MotorStorm is the biggest title on your list though. But I honestly expected much more.

Well, the console hasn't been out that long, we're still in that "launch window" as far as I'm concerned, and that's why I grouped all of those titles together. The PS3's 2007 line up is looking pretty reasonable to me. January was pretty much dead but it looks like things are going to pick up a little in February and March.

I couldn't afford it if the PS3 had more software already, anyway. Between the PC and Xbox 360 there's plenty of things to keep me busy while I wait for Sony's exclusives. I think being a multiplatform gamer with a PS3 has certain advantages, but the drawback to being an early adopter with multiple consoles is that we don't really care much for multiplatform releases. It's going to take exclusive software to really grab our attention.

A fair number of top shelf releases will be multiplatform in 2007.

I find it mildly amusing when people say that this platform should have launched a year ago. The software line-up thus far is rather thin, I can't imagine this platform a year ago.

I honestly don't know why people complain at all. For anyone who has a single console, at launch, they will experience the exact same thing. Multiplatform titles, plus a couple of ok exclusives. The 360 had it, the PS3 has it, and so does the Wii. It's what you should expect from a launch system. It really is your own fault, and that's not spin, that's fact.

Well, the exclusives are slim pickings, so far, and that's a fact too..but I'm confident enough in the 2007 line-up that I'm pretty happy with having one right now. Having the ability to get VF5 before august is enough to make me happy, though :)

Multiplatform games don't sell consoles, exclusives do. I'm not going to count Sony out this early into the race, but they're trailing. I've never seen a launch console not sold out 3 months from launch, and you can bet its the lack of exclusives. Six months from launch you expect to see a couple of console exclusive games that really make you forget your expenditure.

I'm going off this topic because its gotten so far off Lair its not funneh :p! Yea grift, the PS3 has alot of cool looking games, but I see it going through those awful, crippling delays that cut into the 360 badly during the mid spring-summer sales.

dunno jolli, the 360 pad is AWFULL for fighters the sticks are not fast enough and the D-pad is in the wrong place and uncomfy :(
the SONY pad is brilliant for fighters, comfy and responsive but cack for FPS :(.

There will be another arcade stick for the 360, I'd imagine, for those who don't have a DOA stick. The way MS has really locked down control over their consoles peripherals has really screwed with that market. The Hori DOA4 stick is now $100+ on Amazon for no good reason.

Also, there's a decent mod for fixing that shitty d-pad up. A shame, MS should fix the damn thing themselves, it's the only thing about the otherwise brilliant controller I don't like.
