A shame that God of War II isn't a PS3 game, I think. I'll still play it, and they're smart to continue support of the PS2 (killer user base) but still, how sweet would this game be with current generation graphics and technology.

Yeah, I wish it was too. Sony really has some talented first party devs. I really can't wait to see what project Ico comes up with for the PS3, really wish they would re-release SOTC on the PS3 with the updated graphics and what not.

Well they have been developing for a long time, so PS3 wwas out of the question. Plus SOMEONE has to support a last-gen console, and considering tjhhe PS2 has a ridiculously huge userbase, it might as well have been Sony. Expect GoWIII on PS3 though, the numbers fit! ^_^

Really looking forward to this though, and I'm gonna sell my PS2 in a bundle when my PS3 arrives, so I'll be playing on PS3. :)

OMG ... The graphics they pulled!!!! WOW! This is the reason I still love na dhave faith in Sony. They always manage to surprise us with Incredible games.

First of all.. I'm speechless in regards to the trailer. This is gonna be so amazingly awe-maze-some!

As for PS3.. The reason Sony even pull this off with the PS2 is because they have intimate experience with the hardware. Would you really trade that for a rushed developed-on-sketchy-tech-specs dev unit GOW3?

To me, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the way they go about this, and GOW3 (which Jaffe is personally involved with, has started doing early sketches according to an interview from december) will come out when the team is comfortable with what they can do with the PS3.

This way we won't have to make due with another GOW that's just the PS2 game with added texture fidelity, but something that can seriously blow our minds all over again.

I'm gonna.. go watch the trailer again and put pillows all around my room so I can pass out knowing I won't break anything.

and nope still aint got my copy of GoW yet :( but i have so much stuff to complete at the momment including dragon quest which i LOVE soooo much it is just stunning and so heart warmingly wonderfull.

Dunno, haven't played it (:p), I think it would help, but despite having a strong story, the game doesn't depend on it. Although there should be no reason not to simply buy 1 and play it. It's excellent in every way imo.

I don't know if I've ever played a single game sequel that wouldn't stand on its own, without having played the previous entry in the series. Not sayin there aren't games out there like that, or that it wouldn't improve the quality of the experience..just saying I can't really think of any.

Well I'd say the greatest thing lost by not playing 1 is a basic understanding of Kratos journey, because that's the single biggest thing that defines him. I think in order to fully appreciate the *character*, playing 1 is ideal.

Beyond that, this'll be a fantastic game on its own no doubt, and it'll have a self contained story that'll be easily understood by anyone - albeit perhaps not quite appreciated on the same level.

The boss fight with the Colossus of Rhodes is the stuff, can't wait to play that part. Wish there were more quality games set in that particular time period. I'm a die hard of ancient Greek history and mythology.

Looking good as usual. The game is rumoured to be released March 13th in the US and March 30th in Europe. God I hope this is true because with God Of War I we had to wait for 5 months to get the game here in europe which was the stupidiest thing ever especially for a first party developed game.

oh alimo, i have got to the castle in dragon quest ( to get the ship running) but i cant for the love of god get in the libary from ANYWHERE! how do i get in ? i have gone up about 6-8 levels running round the castle lol

I KNOW man that part in dragon quest pissed the hell out of me but to be honest I have no Idea how to go about it as in the exact route to take... I just kept trying and trying until I got there. Check Online FAQs, they might help.

Not yet Man. Final Fantasy X has had me hooked yesterday until 3AM lol .... and Im still with it right now Im up against The third Seymour in those Ronso Mountains ... I dont want to check any guides, can you perhaps tell me how far I am from completing the main quest ... I dont want the game to end ...... Im loving it so MUCH!
When I get to that part of DQ I'll send you a pm.
