god i love this game.

but what has pissed me off, due to my HDD breaking i lost my saved file :( so i would have to start from scratch just to play this *holds head in hands and crys*

From what I heard on the 1up show you dont actually have to have a saved game or anything to play shivering isles. Its because of the way oblivion scales enemies to match the level you are at. I really dont like this because you never feel like you are becoming more powerful but it also means you can play this at any level.

There are mods to deal with that issue in the PC version TheBeagle, worth checking out if you've played that version of the game. I want to play Shivering Isles but I think I'll wait until I do my next PC upgrade and play around with that version some more. Runs like crap on my current rig.

Yeah I wanted to get the PC version for mods that allowed co-op etc. but my PC is entirely crap so it wouldn't run to hot. From what I've seen of this mod though it looks really good visually. Some of the new locations look so cool with all those giant mushrooms. Trippy.

No I thinik in an iterview at 1up or something, they said you can create a new charatcer and play the expansion straight away unless I am mistaken. Will Check ....

You're missin out.The main reason I want to play Shivering Isles. The first thing that popped into my head when I saw the screenshots in EGM this month was, "Wow, that looks like Morrowind." The enviroment looks fantastic.
