Ok guys, FINALLY we get to see new footage, exclusive from IGN!

Wow it is sooooo optimized from what we saw long time ago.

I noticed that the tiger roar is gone as well...I guess that was a upgrade to the glaive you could do.

I also noticed that Josh said he is a "black ops (operation)" agent, last time I heard it was CIA. I hope he doesn't work for CIA rather he worked on a secret agency like Treadstone from The Bourne series.

I also loved how fast he ran torwards the soldier behind one of the stone pillars with his hand gun and then shot him. Great sprint animation on that, looks really fast.

IGN has to edit the video and put up a HD version on this!

I sense a demo very soon, and I think this is gonna be the level we are gonna get, looks very playable right now.

And the music is just awesome. Orchestra with action/climax to it with a bit of heroic bits. Need tracks from the game now!:P!

No offense sath, just my opinion.

As of right now, this game looks extremely dull and unfinished, I just don't see ANYTHING awesome about it........well, graphics are pretty good, but with those awful animations and well......as of right now it looks cheap, very, let's just put it that way..

It's your opinion, so yeah.

But I said the game looks much more optimized of what we (I) saw in the first place. However they have still yet to show other enemies and weapons, he just showed the core gameplay, and if you think that is dull, I say stay away from the game.

I for one know many people how liked RE4 (not just camera) loves this new one.

You obviously is hating on the game, my advice as a gamer...stay away form this game, it is obviously not your type.

the animations were pretty clunky, but this seems like one awesome game.
The Glaive is now my favorite weapon in a game :)

The animation are fine to me...gotta see it as a whole not just the details in every animation he is trying to do.

But obviously this game is scheduled for Fall, so it is obviously gonna get more optimized and polished by that time. At least there is no framerate issues. Animations can always be deal with-

I like one thing, a cool detail that when Hayden jumped down, he used his glaive for decreasing his fall so he doesn't get hurt. Kind of like Prince of Persia when the prince uses his dagger against a big long sheet for decreasing the speed to get down.

I actually thought someone was shooting at Hayden when all the sparkles came, but it was his glaive.

Glad to hear that the glaive is your favorite weapon Plumb.

Sweet...glad to hear someone is as excited as me for this game.
Obviously the level is old, but the footage of the earlier in the level is new, different directions through the level that is.

I hope we really see another level and some real gameplay of the technocytes and such.

looks anything but amazing.

the thing about this game that has me interested is its story and its Zelda like gameplay. but if the puzzles are as easy as they were in the vid, then i will be dissapointed!

Heretic you know how many times I have said this to you. Zelda is puzzles first, combat second. Dark Sector is not trying to be a puzzle game, it has core puzzle, but not what you expect from it.

The game is simply like the Resident Evil series. A virus outbreak in a dead city have been unleashed. And as a field agent you go to Lasria to see what has happened.
You get attacked from behind and then you wake up with this arm, and at that point Hayden gets personal for this stuff.

Kind of like Wolverine in the movie were Wolverine didn't know who made his metallic bones like that, until he finds out who did it, and when he did, he got very personal.

I didn't know that this outbreak has happened before, so I think we have yet to see more of it.

LEBATO - Dark Sector isn't like RE4. The only thing that it might be like RE4 is camera and some movements, but other than that, it's nothing like RE4.

Like lebato said the gameplay looked EXTREMELY dull... It didn't manage to excite me, it was almost laughable... Especially the cover and shoot gameplay did seem boring ...

Leave a negative comment if you want, but you are somewhat bashing it when you have only seen one level and one of his powers. Wait for more levels, weapons...etc. or play it and let it be more optimized version of it. Remember that Fall isn't around the corner.

You do know remember the Too Human scenario right?

Ah well...I don't get paid for defending it, and I am not doing anything with the game. I am just saying that just leaving a negative comment on a game you never played and only seen the very core gameplay of it in early stages, it doesn't make any sense.

Even I think it looks a bit clunky in the animation, and the AI isn't there yet, but I know that Fall is far away and it takes some time to wait and see how it ends closer to the release.
We haven't even seen any cutscenes or know how Hayden sounds like :S.

So it's okay for you to post positive comments about a game u never played? and when i'm negative i should shut up and wait for more content?

Man that's BS and u know it, i bashed too human to the ground when they released that first video and rightfully so in my opinion... now they showed that they actually know what they're doing and i'm giving credit!

so unless they put some more effort in this game i'm gonna bash the shit out of it :)

Too Human did not impress me at all and neither did this. i wouldn't be surprised if this got canned even though i was looking forward to it.

It's like me going to Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey, Forza threads and say, ah man to controls suck, the visuals are downgraded and dull, nothing new but new licenced cars. Boring gameplay, nothing new to the JRPG, it sucks...etc.

When a thread about a certain game is created, and if I am interested in the game I tend to leave good comments of what I like and hold my negative thoughts for myself until further in development and see if they have changed anything of what I disliked.

I try not to put down the "spirit" for the people who actually like it. People who look forward to a game they don't want other people to go there and say it sucks, its boring...etc. it avoids some sort of a conflict.

You knew the gameplay was gonna be like this and you knew it was gonna be dull and boring, so why did you enter this thread and just leave a negative comment.

I for one im not gonna create any more news for this game because obviously the majority here on Xboxyde doesn't seem to like it.

Sath it's a freaking discussion board... we are here to discuss the screens/vids/info gamedev's give us.. With you it's always the same, you pick a couple of games u really like and they are the fucking bomb no matter what other people say or how bad the screens/vid/info...

I didn't mentioned controlls or anything, i based my comments on the very dull looking footage..

And if u start saying: i won't post stuff on dark sector it's not because we don't like it but it's because you're scared we might be right...

You are right, and like said you guys can comment and bash the hell out of it, for all I care I can even help you to achieve it :P.

I am not scared that you guys are right or anything. I don't need others opinions to know if it is gonna be good or not, I always look at what I want, and obviously Dark Sector looks to be one of my favorite ones to come out in Fall.

I do hope we can lay off this "hostile" stuff now, because it is starting to go VERY off-topic.

I don't see any major improvements compared to the last footage I've seen, atleast not any improvements to turn me over on this game.

I too fail to see the awesomeness of this game, and it has nothing to do with the genre. It has to do with how it's being excecuted...

OK, long time user/browser of this site, first time poster, but i gotta say, im with sath on this one, i think the game looks amazing. Yes, the environments sometimes look a bit "dead" and "lifeless" but im sure the final version will be a great, atmospheric game with a great story and characters. Already it looks like a really interesting premis, and we've seen very little of the game thus far. I think the visuals, and especially the lighting are stunning, primerily when his glaive is powered up. Animation does sometimes look a little clunky, but im sure these are issues that will be ironed out by release. It may not be a system selling game like gears of war (which i think is overrated) but its definately something im interested in and as long as is sticks with the direction its going, it'll be almost certainly a buy from me come the end of the year.
