I'll wait with my buy until I know if the terrible tearing is gone - but I bought Forza CE today and will look into that first anyway ;)

8.4 from IGN. Two negatives: central pivot physics and no real online. Everything else seemed pretty good with deep SP. Pretty 2 big negatives though.

the devs have clearly dumbed the game down a little to appeal to more people (american market anyone) and thus the game has a much more arcadey feel, hence the central pivot physics system, but considering i have about 100% more fun with this then a game like forza 2 and its ultra real physics, im fine with that. just pre-ordered it litterally minutes ago, and for the £32 i got it for (shopto.net), i'd say thats definately worth if for one of the best recers i've played on the 360.

I think it could have toppled Forza2 in reviews, if it had comparitive multiplayer abilities and if the middle pivot had been fixed. They still say it is worth the $60 for the single player alone, and that it is the best looking racer on 360.

They're also two completely different types of racing games.. there's room enough for both of them. Dirt is beautiful, but the frame rate complaints are bothersome. I could use a Rally game.. but it's FM2 for me first. Still haven't picked that up :/

I enjoyed the demo for the first 10mins or so, but then it kind of dropped off for me. I'm not a huge racing fan, so when I purchased Forza 2 I pretty much made a commitment not to buy another racer till PGR4. I might not even get that since Forza 2 has fulfilled my need for speed :O!

Amazing graphics indeed.
