The game really looks much better now, more smooth and less jaggies. Man I can't wait for this game. Glad they pushed it to Early 2008, more time to make it better.

animation is WAYYYYY too choppy. If it moved smoothly like Resident Evil 4 it would be so much better looking.

well Sath, i know you were disappointed about the lack of the biomechanical suit in the darkness so looks like Dark Sektor will set you up nicely. :P Looking forward to the game too.

i didnt think the animation was particularly smooth in resi 4 tbh. it was very much a run, stop, shift to the felt/right, aim, shoot, with very jarring context sensative animations, and this seems to be the same, although i believe you can shoot while moving in this one. the game interests me tho. and if it sticks to the direction its going, i'd probably end up picking it up, im a sucker for action adventure/survival horror titles.

as for that screen, the texturing looks way better on the main character, but the car to his left (assume its a car) is a little....bleh.

Oh hell yes!!!!!!!!!!

I am a sucker for biomechanical bodies in sci-fi games, and "Dark" Sector its all about metal limbs hahaha.

The online, I got a guess that the online will probably be different characters with different powers of what HAyden has, but has the same background concept to it so you can feel its the same game, same power.
Its ajust a guess though, I guess E3 is gonna be awesome for me when they show much more.

I am glad they are going for the "both consoles will be the same in terms of content and visual" except the core like 360s achievements and the PS3 sixxaxis.

Anyway, it plays much more smoother, and it shows that they have improved it alot, so bring on E3, which is next month by the way, early next month!!!! :D

HEhe same here. I hope he learns how to control his transformation, so when danger or action is nearby, he can just transform into his "combat" form :P oh man that would be sweet.

Yeah I have thought about that thing all the time. This transformation idea got to me long time ago when they said that Hayden will look ALOT different near the end.

So maybe players for online get to play Haydens full transformation and because he doesnt might not look human anymore, its okay because then it couldnt have any copy characters running around :P

I know that DE said there WILL be a demo before a release, and I hope E3 is that time.

I will play it soooo much.

Wow, this game looks so freaking boring. I don't know, maybe it's a bit more fun to play it or something?

To me it looks like you see someone and you throw the freaking glaive, and that's it, NEXT! Come on, there has to be something more to it than just that. There better be. The shooting is looking plain as hell too, so I wonder what the other weapons will do--by the way, the weapons mentioned in the preview are anything but special, they seem to be your standard weapons for a shooter. That's not necessarily bad, but it does mean they have to get the shooting right, and they haven't.

Other than that, getting the glaive on fire/electricity is a huge gimmick. Not only is it kind of stupid, it really serves no real purpose. You have two choices;

a) Just throw the damn thing and kill the guy.
b) Get the glaive on fire and then kill the guy

The only difference? You just wasted a few seconds and got shot a few times while trying to get it on fire.

The animations leave much room for improvement too, but I'd say they have improved since back then.

And transitioning to the bright side are the graphics. The graphics are really good, they just have to have something else going on in those environments. More bad guys, more explosions, more to it, I don't know make them seem alive. Everything looks nice though.

Well that was a pre-show of E3. But for some reason I have a strange feeling we wont get a demo this early if this game is suppose to be out in Januray 2008.

But we will see :)

First, ahaha @ MK avatar :P nice to see you like it alot. If you wanted to know, I had contact with one of the Digitial Extremes contact person through email for Dark Sector, and I got 2 awesome exclusive posters :D.

I can take a screenshot with my cellphone and upload it to show you.

But glad there is someone else here on the forum that likes it as much as me :D.

Anyway, about the demo, yeah Lost Planet was great, I played it like more than 5 day in each day, it was that great.

But remember that is capcom you know, they are famous for demos here and there.

On the side note, PSU.com says that DE confirmed a awesome feature for HOME.
You can apperently unlock Haydens arm for you character in HOME.

They better do something awesome for the 360 version except the Achivements being there and all.

Man this game is gonna be soooo awesome, at least for me.

LEBATO - I respect your opinion and all, but god you are so picky, be glad they delayed it if not they wouldnt fix these things.
Even I saw it had some framerate issues here and there, but doyou honestly think they will ship a game that looks in this shape :S.

But you know if the game looks boring for you then you shouldnt bother looking or thinking about yet and wait to further 2008 when they actually show the monsters and other characters, weapons...etc. Besides man, its a E3 demo, they wont unleash the best of the best, they are waiting for players to get excited of what happens to Hayden ;)

Anyway...E3 demo...please come!!!!!!!!!

that's cool news about unlocking Hayden's arm for your HOME character. The ps3 needs more stuff like that as incentive. Lebato, read that hands-on preview of the game, by the sounds of it there will be plenty of unique and intelligent enemies for you to face, and there's still time to add and improve on the game.

Edit: Okay I watched them, OMFG it looks sick!

First i am glad there is sprint move, and I noticed something that I personally think is interesting. In the "Darkness" :P hahaha, video on the wall there is a big Dark Sector logo, could this be the logo of the Lotus Complex? (the"bad guys" base located underground).

The other videos well, its VERY playable at best.
I like the walk>jogging>sprint thing, makes it better if you dont want to go too slow or too fast.

But man those brutal kills you can do, like chop the enemies arm off and they will roll on the floor, or the bloom around the environment and objects floating around you.

The thing is this city is DEAD, nobody is on the surface, they are underground in in safety. The only thing you will meet on the surface is soldiers, monsters and death basically.

The cool thing is the "Black Market" you earn these by doing special deeds for the people on the city hidden or suitcases located through around Lasria. You find them you find objects like tapes with information...etc. by doing those, people will give you new items to use for both medical and weapons, even like that you have to prove yourself worthy for it.

Its very deep in the gameplay but nobody does research on them, and I think it REALLY adds to the gameplay for sure.

And the music has orchestra which is my absolute favorite and only genre in music.
I am glad they did add music in there, the teaser had that Batman Begins socre to it, so there is no way I am gonna be dissapointed in the music style they chose :D

All I got to say is...there should be this specific demo on marketplace around next month by E3 :D

Haha yeah, "and they are equipped to handle the situation" hahaha, I bet they are.
They got a freaking helicopter scanning the area as well hahaha.

Oh man, E3 is gonna show the first boss in-game. They did show it, it looks like a big gorilla made by metal.

They even said that all the Technocytes (metal monsters) will be having animal behavior, I think thats great because it really gets it more "graaaaaaaw" to it, imagine that sounds haunting you in the shadows and things falls infront you and you cant see them :P.

Yeah i really wanna see that boss battle, we only got a slight peak of it last time. I hope they show the abilities you get once you beat him. And i dont know about you, but for MP, I wouldnt mind playing as one of those Technocytes either, I think they look pretty cool too.

Yeah, I hope they show a sneak peak of his next power, which I know what it is.

Heres a hint..."taking fire, no worry, cover on the way".

Anyway yeah, I dont mind soliders vs Technocytes you know, would be cool.
But I prefer more Hayden type of characters than those...we will see.
