It's the same demo level from the Gamers Day event I believe, but the video itself is new. Think it's from an event they held in France recently.

The use of the tilt function of the controller in the game is perfect. using for balance NICE! the aiming sucks a little bit though.

Sweet, the game just got a lot better! Man I am gonna have to get a PS3 sooner than I thought. This is awesome stuff. Ninja Gaiden Sigma is tempting me so bad! and now these two.

Naughty Dog really are some of the best in the business when it comes to these types of games(action adventures).

Their past games? They made the first 3 Crash Bandicoot games, and Crash team racing. Then they made the first 3 Jak and Daxtar games on the PS2, and a Jak and Daxtar racing game. Ironic :P

Oh i see, I tried jack and daxter 3 and I sort of didnt like it. a pure platformer which isnt my thing, something more mature with an epic story/puzzle/combat is what appeals most to me ... I am sure I said this a million times :P

Really looking forward to this, the aiming thing I think is supposed to be a little off, as he's not meant to be trained with guns, and so you will miss often. The player is probably a bit crap as well. :)

I dont think the aiming being off has anything to do with it as a gameplay function, i think the guy just sucks. If you give a guy a hammer and all he does is bash his fingers, its not the hammer's fault.......:P

But yeah, this game looks great. HS too. My ps3 is finally showing its worth. Its incredible to see the difference in quality between ps3's multiplatform titles and first party titles, though its probably not that surprising that first party games look better.

The people working on the PS3 are obviously annoyingly talented and ambitious, which is really a big reason this looks so amazing. They're doing stuff with the animation that only Ubisoft has shown interest in doing before (with Sands of Time of course) and it's really giving the game an edge in looking unlike ANYTHING else right now.

I loved Jak & Daxter, and I love the humour and adventure and action that Naughty Dog consistently bring. I'm convinced I will love this too, and this and the other bunch of awesome games coming this fall is the reason I wanted my PS3 early in the year, as to not be weighed down by simply paying for the unit when these games are already on the shelves.

Finally water that reacts to the character.

Besides that it looks like a next gen TR just with a guy instead of a gal.

Im sure it will be a great game, but i would rather see a next gen Jak and Daxter.

Well, on the surface the cover stuff looks slightly similar, and Ethan can also blindfire, but beyond that I think Gears with its relentless emphasis on the A button and constant flow will play differently - and from a straight up shooter perspective better.

This will be a shooter more than anything too, but it clearly has its eyes set on the adventure and tension rather than the precision and action.

Then again I reckon "Tomb Raider with a guy" and Gears of War are both just about equally accurate (or inaccurate) in describing the game. :P
