2007-07-06 18:10:26 I wonder if Sega intended for Online LIVE in it from the beginning, but since PS3 released first, they didn't want to tick off Sony and make that version look completely inferior right out of the gate? |

2007-07-06 18:45:37 Simply piss-poor sales of PS3 version + easy to implement Live libraries + Microsoft's support = it was inevitable. Good news for 360 gamers who want to play VF5. --- |

2007-07-06 18:47:22 Latency is going to be killer, but it's nice to have the option anyhow. I'm sure this will move more copies to the casual fighting fans. |

2007-07-06 18:52:37 The option as I see it is mostly there to pat the casual fans on the head, and even more so make the game sell (which is really why I'm okay with it). For me, personally? Let's just say I prolly won't spend much time with that portion of the game. --- |

2007-07-06 19:06:48 Yeah if this wasn't my GOTY, this pretty much seals it. I'm still in shock. |

2007-07-06 19:07:45 Well it's going to strip it of a lot of fundamental, incredibly timing dependant tactics like multiple throw escapes buffering I imagine, but of course it's going to be playable. It's just gonna be a rougher version of VF than longtime hardcore fans are used to. --- |

2007-07-06 19:11:56 The number of "hardcore" Virtua Fighter players is so low that to cater to them exclusively would ruin Sega. |

2007-07-06 20:12:40 Yes: The Xbox 360™ version of Virtua Fighter™ 5 is based on the latest arcade version update and features both analogue-stick and D-pad control, as well as vibration support. The game also includes an improved Quest mode featuring more CPU rivals, items, and emblems for character customisation. The DOJO mode has added features including leaderboards, training move settings, improved throw and escape training, and the option to change your opponent’s position and recovery type. These all work to create a more refined DOJO mode where players can improve their fighting strategy. --- |

Should be interesting to see how well or poorly it functions. Happy day. Should be interesting to see if this does any better in Japan as a result. |
