Well this is gonna be my first purchase of Soul Calibur game for sure, as a fighting game, while Soul Calibur Legends for Wii is my second.

It looks bad ass for sure, and it has online, I am gonna try my best to learn greatly with Mitsurugi.

What made you wait this long? This franchise has been awesome for almost 10 years :)

Edit: Looks way better in motion, even though we're seeing incomplete move sets. I wasn't very impressed by the screenshots, mostly because it doesn't look that much better than VF, Tekken, or even DOA (All games that get ripped apart by the message boards concerning graphics -- yet this game seems to be blowing everyone away.. for some reason). But yeah, it looks hot.

The skin shader is the nicest we've seen in a fighter, which seems to be the number one complaint about most of these games (which is pretty stupid, imo) anyway. Looks awesome.

Will look great by next year. More characters -- now!

PS. Most of this footage was on the 1up show already, but it's nice to see it in 720p.

Well the wait was because I dont own a PS2 or GC thats why!.

But now that I own a Wii I might get SC3, might, or just wait it out for SC4 instead.

But I have played The Soul Edge on PSX years ago, my cousin owned it and it was awesome for sure.

So this will be my next Soul (universe :S) game to play and own as a fighting game, and SC LEgends as a action game.
Both looks great, both plays great, but in their own way of course.

I love how some of the attacks get like awesome special visual like Mitsurugis lighting effect on his sword that strikes and such, its awesome for sure.
About the guess star...please oh god make Ryu Hayabusa to come to SC for the 360 version, would be bad ass!!!!

Imagining Ryu with the TRUE Dragon Sword equipped kicking all the Soul characters haha, would be cool.

You know SC2 was on Xbox, (and was 720p) right? It was a great game.

There's no way that Ryu would be in this game, when he's a Tecmo character and part of the DOA cast. I think you can let that dream die right now. Never going to happen. Plus he'd be a weakling in this universe ;P

Anyway...i doubt thats gonna happen, but it was like a "imaginery" in my head that it WOULD be cool if he was in it.

Ah well it will be interesting to see who the secret character from the Xbox world is.

Trailer was nice. I hope SC4 has artworks and all kind of bonus material like previous titles had.

I dont know about what is excluisve to whatm but I am just gonna wait it out for SC4 for 360.

And well, Soul Calibur is about weapons, and we don't exactly know what Namco Bandai can do with the DOA4 version of Ryu with a sword.

But I rather have Ninja Gaiden style Ryu, that ouwld most definitely own all the characters.

And yes Iso, prepare for loong button combos for Izuna Drops, its coming, oh yes it is :P.

But I doubt Ryu is coming, matter of fact i gurantee 100% he is not gonna show up.

But what other character, well LOGICAL character with a weapon is there that is a 360 exclusive to show up in the game.

Don't tell me that any "soldier" will be there, such as Chief or any Gears of War, that is just shit and doesnt make any sense.

But I hope some bad ass!

Why do I have Dante or Baldur in my head! :S

Now Dante would go crazy!

It's not Virtua Fighter! :/Soul Calibur 2 -- the only one with guest characters so far -- was not exclusive to any platform. You could have played it on the Xbox years ago. SC3 was the only entry in the series exclusive to anything. PS2.Man, Ryu would get destroyed in this game -- he'd have to -- he's a DOA character! Funny how someone who never played SC is commenting on how a DOA character would destroy everyone, hah! Please.. Cassy is a small girl, and she'd have no problem dispatching Ryu.. Now Mitsu would just chop him down :P

Well Grift DOA Ryu with a sword is something nobody knows how that will play out, but Ninja Gaiden Ryu, that would be something.

I can say this, the fight wouldn't end pleasent!

I actually don't like guest characters very much, but they don't take anything away from the game so I don't mind them much either. Same goes for custom characters.

I think game would be better without these bonus characters. If 360 version has that Halo dude I am feeling sick. Like PS2 version of SC2 had that Tekken guy... Doesn't fit in the game. Just create more original characters or something.

Yeah, I guess it is better to leave bonus character out, might as well pull a character creation with more depth too it and there you go.

I actually like the character creation even less.. but it's a fun sorta casual thing to do and again you can play w/o the custom characters so no real harm is done to the core game.

They both seem like gimmicks to me.

I wasn't going back that far.. and it doesn't count in my mind because at the time the Dreamcast was the only console that mattered :P

Technically Soul Edge was also an exclusive.
