Michelin Test Track

As the icing on the location cake, we have also added a fictional Test Track to PGR4. This performs a similar function to the test track from Gotham 2, in that it's a great place to take your cars out and push them to the limit. However, unlike the test track from Gotham 2, this one serves a purpose in the Single Player career mode too. Several invitation challenges take place on the Michelin Test Track, sometimes on the Nascar-style oval, sometimes on the windy service roads, and occasionally on the dirty great skid pan located in the centre.

Despite the track being fictional, it has been inspired by a particular famous racing circuit in the States which I won't mention. But why sponsored by Michelin I hear you ask? Well, not only does this add some real racing authenticity to the game, we also get to include a couple of 40 foot high giant Michelin men in there. So everybody's a winner really.

Maybe I have problems with reading comprehension etc., but could the way they described cities mean that not only there will only one daytime per city, but also only certain weather conditions in each city? I hope I'm reading too much into it, as it would seriously limit number of environmental variations.

NASCAR style oval? So cool! I love simple tracks like that :)

I've asked that question on the BC website.. I think it's probably 1 type of weather effect per location that can be turned on or off with maybe a dynamic setting.. But just wait & see what they say..

Yup.. I am happy about that. I loved most of the night races in PGR3.. London and NYC looked great at night too. But that's good news regardless.

Sometimes simplicity is a good thing. I love ovals.

IGN info on Quebec. Sounds cool, notably the Quebec course has 12 circuits, 9 unlocked initially, 2 shorts to be unlocked, and 1 endurance.

If the diversity holds up for each of the tracks that would be about 100 varient paths. Add in weather changes and that is a bit of variety.

I am hoping they have done something unique and engaging in SP this time. My main interest is MP, but few racing games capture an engaging SP experience. That said the huge cities with variant courses on each should add a lot of value. These are huge cities with distinct areas, so I see a lot of value there personally.

Montreal would have been cooler but both cities have ridiculous roadways. I wonder if they'll have a track on the (toursity) Old Quebec side of the wall.

Anyone not like how they're not specifying it's Quebec City. It just sounds awkward to me without that moniker.
