Nissan Brings 2007 Cars to Forza Motorsport 2

Hey car fans,



Thanks to Xbox LIVE, Nissan, and the folks here at Turn 10, the very first downloadable content for Xbox 360’s acclaimed racer “Forza Motorsport 2” will be available tonight (or tomorrow morning) 8/1 2AM PST. Speed over to Xbox LIVE Marketplace tomorrow morning to download the all new free Nissan car pack featuring three premiere Nissan models: the 2007 Sentra SE-R, Altima, and 350Z.





To celebrate this release, Xbox and Nissan will be hosting several activities for Forza 2 fans in the U.S. focused around these new additions to “Forza Motorsport 2’s” already robust car list. The first of these activities will be a Nissan Sentra SE-R tournament on Xbox LIVE. In addition to the tournament, Nissan and Xbox will also be hosting an in-game customization contest, as fans utilize the incredibly deep livery system of “Forza Motorsport 2” to create unique and stunning paint jobs on their Nissan Sentra SE-Rs. The contest will be judged by a panel comprised of Turn 10 developers and Nissan representatives, as fans vie for the title of ultimate Nissan customizer.





On top of the awesome free car pack from Nissan, we're also offering the famed Peugeot 908 race car for download on Xbox LIVE Marketplace (50 MS points). Coming off a second place finish at the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 908 not only brings yet another top-notch race car to the Forza universe, but it is also the only paintable race car to be included in the game.

Bah, what good is that for me without an Xbox 360. really, last month has been a pain. I'm still like a level 20 or so, I need to "finish" Forza before Bioshock comes out.

Hopefully we see more free cars.

More DLC goodness on its way for Forza 2. Tracks in the future for Forza 2 DLC too.

The second DLC pack will be made available for 400 MSP by the end of the month, and will feature the following list of cars:

* 2006 Audi R10 (#8 Audi Sport Team Joest) Prototype
* 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T Hemi
* 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept
* 2006 Honda Civic Si Coupe

* 1967 Lamborghini Miura P400
* 2006 Lamborghini Miura Concept

As for what Turn 10 is cooking up for the future downloadable content before turning their full attention to the next iteration in the series, Dan Greenawalt said they certainly have a few more surprises in store for its dedicated fanbase:

DLC packs are like birthday presents for the game and the community–a big part of enjoying it is the surprise. That said, it’s safe to say that we’ll have several more gifts to share with the Forza community before we turn our energies full time to working on the next Forza.

We have a lot more in store for the rabid Forza community. It’s much easier to “quickly” turn around a cars pack than a track pack. Of course, “quickly” being a relative term in next-gen game production. Tracks take upwards of 3 to 5 months to build, plus testing and iteration time–not to mention the reference collection and coordination trips. That said, DLC tracks are on the way. We started working on DLC tracks at the same time we started the Nissan pack.

LOL, some 'birthday gift'.. The only gift is our money to them.. They can keep their "present" this time.. I got the Peugeot 908 for which I paid, and I think I'll leave it at that (besides downloading this new pack anyway for the free SEAT offcourse and being able to see other people who did pay for this "gift" use those cars)..
