I bet the HD versions will show up on GameTrailers and PS store soon enough, but damn I love this animated stuff they are keep doing...I want to see it as a whole animated movie instead of episodes with speaches and such.

Anyway, September can't come soon enough, besides I didn't know Bohan was with the good before he turned to Darth Bohan :P

looks awesome as usual. This is my 3rd most wanted game for this year, behind Monster Hunter Freedom 2 and Crisis Core. Hopefully I will have my PS3 by the time this is released, or I hate to say, I'm going to have to GTA yours, Sath :p


Seriously though, they should make this into a animated series on TV. Everytime I watch this it just brings back the pain of Samurai Jack :/

Anyway this episode was a bit dull to be honest. They tried to explain how the bad guy in the game has become who he is and I think they fell in the Cliche, I saw this before sort of trap.
Still music is great and voice acting is brilliant! I hope the guy from this animated shorts is voicing somebody in the game or at least he's the narrator or something! very very immersive.

My god I just love this game!!!

Demo was short and I have no idea how many times I have played it over and over but it has been ALOT.

But yeah it is awesome, from art, graphics, combat, cinematic showings, voice...etc.

Can't wait till next week when it gets released here :D

I don't get it ! You still have a crunch on that game eventhough its reviews are pretty disappointing ?
I thought it was going to be great but it just got a 5/10 from the french site I trust most. NGS seems a better buy to me.

Not really, Playing Devils Advocate here, MS can only buy so many games, and when they took a look at this one, it probably did not impress them enough to go ahead with the purchase, and judging by the reviews they can now turn round and say, maybe it was a good decision?

Well look at the BD reviews, thats like low comparing to its MAJOR hype it kept getting.

Heavenly Sword is in the same boat.
So much hype, low review from each site, but still there are many people out there that still love the game.

Why?
Same reasons I gave...characters, art, soundtrack, presentation, story...etc.

Just because each site gave a game a bad review doesnt mean it should effect every individual mind.

For example, if I say this game is the best game of the year on PS3...would you believe me?

No...you play it, you have another opinion.

But I for one, LOVE this game and cant wait to buy it, and considering its a trilogy, even better.

I am with Alimo...again :D

There is a difference between wishing, for your own gaming taste, MS/Sony pick up a title than wishing, from their perspective, they picked it up.

Gears has clearly been worth the investment. Heavenly Sword and Lair have no. Crackdown is a draw. Blue Dragon, the jury is out, but it did move 360s in Asia.

How the exclusives games work is all based on gambles. MS gambled on Gears of War, Mass Effect, Bioshock, Blue Dragon, Crackdown, Too Human, Lost Odessey, and Alan Wake. Lets assume MS paid $20M for each exclusive (basically dev costs).

If only Gears had panned out, the result in MGS profits + 360 units sold, then all the other exclusives, if they bombed, were worth the gamble.

The problem is if all your gambles either bomb or are Crackdown quality. Good games that sell ok, but not moving units.

MS is on the flip side of the coin from Sony thought. Sony has a LOT of quality internal studios. MS has Bungie... and then stuff like Shadowrun and misdesigned titles like Viva Pinata. They picked up Lionhead (who knows what you will get from them!) and moved Ensemble console side, and I believe Rare is gonna shock some people. So internally MS is looking up, but Sony isn't quite as reliant on external stuff (outside their special relationships with Insomniac and Naughty Dog). The problem with Sony: The misjudges when next gen started!

The problem with Sony is that their studios sacrifice gameplay and features for graphics to show off the platform's capacities rather than make incredible games. Some of their games might reach ~90% average scores on gamerankings, but I think it will be much smaller percentage than that of Nintendo and Microsoft games. Though maybe an example of their game, Warhawk (critically it was received much better than Lair and Heavenly Sword), will teach them that graphics can take them only so far.

BTW Acert, Naughty Dog is owned by Sony.

Also, it's kinda hard to judge Heavenly Sword commercial success at the moment :)
