37 seconds, and the guy playing isn't even paying attention to the action during at least 50% of the clip. They could have given us a bit more than that. Phaethon is joining in on the !!!!! though.

well technically it is, since its gonna play the same with a lick of paint. that deserve the title of 2.5 imo.

for that short as hell footage, im still not interested by it, looks slow and boring. graphics did look ok tho.

Most next gen games are just the same games with added licks of paint.
MGS4, GT5, PGR4 Ratchet & Clank, Brothers in Arms, GTA 4, Soul Calibur, DOA 4, Tekken, Rainbow 6 "ZOMG Face M4ppingz0rZ!" Vegas etc...

It's more of a gameplay upgrade than Halo 2 was over Halo CE.. sooo I guess this is Halo 2? :/

Loads of new weapons, new vehicles, deployable equipment, new game modes, four player co-op.. the list actually goes on and on. Not every sequel is going to be a completely different game, down to its core. It may not be as revolutionary as some, but that's still a pretty silly statement.

for most of those yes. but say MGS4 for example, that wont play the same now will it. you have no radar, you have a chameleon suit, the environment is radically different, its no longer green/blu linear corridors. MGS4 is one of the most drastic changes i've seen recantly tbh. whether its for the better remains to be seen. but halo....its the same old same old with high res textures. and while halo 1 may have been fresh for its time. its now 2007, we're on a new generation of console and we've seen games that truely redefine genres...halo just doesnt cut it anymore. multiplayer, yes. it deserves all the praise. single player. i didnt see what was so special about it back in the day, and i still dont.

GT5 IS a .5 sequel however, becasue the gamplay/ AI etc havnt changed since the first one.

This generation shouldn't be about games changing so much that they lose their identity.

Last gen it was just about the games. So we should be happy we can get the great games we had last generation only bigger and better with new story to go along with it.

HD version anyone see how cool that glass looked at 7 seconds if you pause it? Looks like a glass with a sorta honeycomb design on it. The lighting in the game is crazy. Check that mountain and how intense it looks.

Like for how busy the environments will be and how large they are the graphics look pretty damn incredible. Screenshots didn't do it any justice at all really. Also very excited Halo 3 has Motion Blur didn't think it would :)
