Although this trailer surprised me I'm still not convinced this game will reach the same level of quality as Battlefield 2 on the PC...

It won't. It's Modern Combat 2. Uber-classes FTL.. totally defeats the purpose of BF.

You gotta hand it to them though, the destructible environments are pretty neat! I haven't seen many games where you can blow a hole in the side of a building, or mow down a forest with a high caliber machine gun!!

The destruction sounds like a really great idea, unfortunately I think that within 5 minutes of a multiplayer game there will be little or no trace of buildings and forests. But if it is at least as good in multiplayer as BF2:MC I'll definitly get it.

I suspect it will be somewhat better than the first Modern Combat.. but I don't think it will stand up to previous entries in the series. Flashy gimmicks don't make up for the fact that it's still missing that special something that made me love Battlefield in the first place.. which is mostly the finely balanced cross class dependency that I've grown to love.

Take away squads, take away the chain of command, and give players these uber kits.. well.. it just kills my interest personally. I'm much more interested in seeing how the 360 version of FFOW turns out. 32 players + dedicated servers FTW!

I remember years back when BF2 MC was on 360 and the demo for online was out I kept playing my ass off.

But this one is absolutely THE Battlefield game for console we need.

The graphics are nothing to complain about its gorgeous.
From vehicles, to environment, to characters and weapons.

I think the online will be your standard Battlefield online game...chaotic war, but now with destruction.

I don't know, but I might get this game...depends on the situation I am in when the game is closer to be released.

But so far, it looks very cool.

Looks like freakin awesome. But that one screen wit the big explosion is obviously not the game. well the explosion isnt at least.
