anyway, Game Fly should be sending my copy by weeks end. Haven't played HL2 in a while, so looking forward to replaying through it. Then of course, EP1 and EP2. Also, looking forward to F'in around in Portal.

They are complete fools if they think Team Fortress 2 doesn't stand on its own. There are so many people I know loving the hell out of that game right now.

I would have much rather played this on my gaming rig. I've had a few technical hitches on the 360 (Opened a door and walked into a skybox!) and stuff like the enemies floating and what not. Overall, if you've never played HL2 before, and don't own a system capable of playing these games, do not wait.

I tried playing HL2 over again, but I can't do it. I've played it too many times, and been spoiled by its graphics on the PC. Episode 2 is a different story. New environments make it look great. I'm sure it would look better on my PC, but its definitely impressive (HL2 probably is too, but ya know, teh spoilage).

It's too tough comparing a game on the PC to a console equivalent. I'm giving the game flack it probably doesn't deserve while playing it. I can't wait to finish Ep2 and checkout TF2 and Portal tomorrow. Good stuff.

still cannot stop finding it funny that hardly anything negative was pointed out to the orange box, each of its five parts being excellent, over 20+ hours single player plus an excellent multiplayer and it still only rated as good as, ya know, your beloved halo 3...

Well i won't argue about what an amazing package this is and it's 2 bad i'm leaving this sunday for a year to New Zealand, cause else i would've got it..

But u shouldn't forget Halo 3, is also a full and amazing package:

-Over 10 hours of single player gameplay (on legendary) and a lot of replayablity in the form of co-op or getting the achievements (skulls/terminals)
-One of the best multiplayer packages for the 360 (even if u don't like it, it's still amazing stuff)
-And i almost forgot to mention the "item-editor" Forge and the amazing and much underrated film and screenshot ability that's in the game....

TF2 on it's own is worth full price, and you get HL2 + it's 2 Episodes and Portal with it aswell.. I just unlocked the HL2:EP2 files on Steam on my PC, and I'm gonna play it right now.. What I also like is that Valve carried over the achievementsystem of Xbox Live into the PC versions aswell, I really like that..

Its a shame HL2 is a port of the xbox version, thats an awful descision, anyway, i'll be buying this next year.

Yeah, i know its strange cause Halo 3 is the better game.

Did someone noticed how IGN mentioned, that HL2 it is a port from the Xbox version instead of the Pc counterpart? Very strange IMO, considering also that Valve it is the de veloper and that they aren't as lazy as others teams.
Anyway, I cant wait for it is release in Europe.

Half life 2 was very boring, yes i had it on full settings and all the spangly things on max, but god it bored the hell out of me i only kept playing it hoping the next level was going to be more "intresting"

And the reason they put it as a package was due to the fact not one of these games is worth full price half life 2 ... pff pretty looking boredom, portal XBLA please, team fortress very few maps and LTD gamemodes on the maps

Very nice as a package yes, but if you was to seperate these things you would only be going "meh"

Like stated in the other thread (when going on about Oot been number 1 rated overall) cant compare old games to new, yes oh mighty pc nerds your precious half life 2 was a major letdown in terms of fun , now doom3 = fantastic fun with stuff to actually shoot, half life 2 great story , great to look at ...BORING to play.

I doubt it, since Steam(community) and Xbox Live are 2 seperate things..

And for ManThatYouFear, I guess when you're not into the Half-Life universe and story, I guess it can become boring.. Then it just becomes a regular FPS with moderate action and some puzzels.. Luckily I'm totally into it and think HL2 is great..
