I'm making a note here: huge success.
It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

I just can't get over this game. It's hard to even put into words how good it made me feel. It's so fucking original, so fucking funny, and it is just so full of.. fucking charm. I can't wait to see custom maps, but, nothing could possibly match the content already available, outside of a proper sequel.

It's so, so short, and yet, so damn good. This game deserves every bit of praise it has received. It's hard to say how satisfied I am coming out of that experience without dropping tons of f-bombs.

Fucking fantastic. I love you Orange Box. You could have just come with Portal and I'd still love you.

Just finished a couple of days ago, and I had a blast. Although it was a bit shortish, the advanced puzzles and the challenges (least portals, least steps, least time) really add extra value. Of course, the achievements help a lot too. I really, really hope that Valve will release some extra content on the Xbox Live Marketplace, because I can't get enough of this game.

On a sidenote, is it true that a character of Portal will make a debut in Episode 3? I thought I read something like that on gamespot.

Yeah.. I consider that whole sequence part of the ending. It's hard to rant and rave about its greatness without mentioning it but I don't want to spoil anything. It's very awesome though.

Portal is really fun, too bad it was so short. At least there was couple time attack modes. My favourite is that where you try to use as few portals as you can :D Fun stuff. I tried TF2 yesterday and it was awesome too :)

glad to see some Portal love. I was also very pleased to see eurogamer giving it the game of the year award, as for me it was the game of the year. For me it did much more for gaming then Bioshock, Mass Effect (still playing for the recod) and of course Halo, each of which did a lot as well, in their own sense. But for me Portal was really the winner, in its simplicity, in the way that it just looked a bunch of puzzles and then it was not.
Masterpiece material.

Uh, I don't think it's THAT good. No game of the year, no best game ever, no even a great game by itself. It is a great ADDITION to the orange box, but that's it.

The game is really short, the funny is.......not really, and once you are done with the puzzles, you are..........done.

Yeah, it's the coolest thing to come out of DigiPen, that's for sure. I'd like to try their original project, but one of the things that really makes portal so damn good is the fantastic writing. It's got such strong direction in general, creating impressive character development out of practically nothing at all.
