2008-07-24 22:57:03 Me too. That's disappointing. It was definitely one of the 360's potential 2008 releases I was really looking forward to. I guess it should have been a sign, when we didn't see much of anything Splinter Cell at E3. |

2008-07-25 07:33:34 I don't mind. There are just too many games this year for the 360. |

2008-07-25 07:37:58 cant say 360 is lacking exclusives, as long as this is a good game, we can wait... my wallet is crying anyway. --- |

2008-07-25 20:02:18 Don't you guys think they are moving Conviction over to the unbelievable engine that is used for AC and Prince of Persia? They'd be crazy to go with what Conviction was running on after looking at those other games from within their own studio. --- |

2008-07-25 21:09:17 Op, you should go google some of their tech demo samples for SC5. They had some nice stuff in development, noticibly lighting and shadowing. The poorest shown parts was humans which neither of the named titles look substantially better. --- |

2008-07-25 21:56:03 Splinter Cell will outperform AC and PoP graphically, Chaos Theory was the best looking last-gen game right after Conker :) Don't forget that the game will be released 2 years after that first demo (or later). I can wait for this game, but I would love to see a glimpse at what direction they are taking in the game. --- |

2008-07-25 23:13:34 i think they realised just how similar SC5 was to assassins creed with the whole "crowd stealth mechanic" and so they went back to step 1 to think of something genuinely original, since thats what they seemed to be about when they announced conviction. it was all about changing the formula and creating something no other game had. but now assassin creed and the bourne game have been released, it kinda makes conviction seem dated even before it was released. either that or they had such a backlash from fans that they've taken it back to the "light and shadow" gameplay of old. |
