2005-11-23 11:43:35 Halo 2 on X360 request!

since I know you have nice equipment and also a 360 it would be great if you could film some halo2 multiplayer running in 720p (with the latest emulator software)

I think I am not the only one interested in this!

You know, I spent the good part of my lunch break looking for the Halo 2 360 footage on teamxbox but I couldn't find it. There is some over there though, so go take a look:

yeah I saw it.. and there were definate framerate problems in the single-player footage (after he enters the first "door", it stutters quite a bit)

I wanna see how the game look with the latest emulator release and in multiplayer,

blim some footage would be nice ;)

Yeah exactly...its going to look the same but just a little sharper. Not really a big deal if you ask me...

I'd be more curious about seeing some of those potentially terrible slowdowns in Quake4.

Its weird how one game review site will say it has slow downs, and another doesn't even mention it..

check the video review on gamespot.. quake 4 has LOTS of slowdowns..

now halo2 on X360.. can´t find any multiplayer movies of it anywhere.. some people say there is slowdown, some people say it is smooth.. I would like to judge myself :)

I think if you just register (at Gamestop), you can download some lower res versions of things.

not quite though.
There have been many a video that I can't "download" unless I login.
I can still stream it, but streaming can suck in multiple ways compared to watching a vid offline.

BTW, great find ManThatyouFear :D

I played some single player and multiplayer halo 2 on 360 today and didn't have any problems. Only real issue I had is getting used to the new controller, buttonp lacement, plus, the right thumbstick is not a little further "in" than it was, and it made me feel like I was stretching to move it.

now, in my hours of playing pgr3 and a few short sessions with pdz, I haven't had a problem with it, but the mental adjustment after being used to the controller s makes playing halo 2 really wierd.

Whats up ManThatYouFear. Been a while. Apparently there isn't much of a difference graphic wise, and the textures still pop up out of nowhere.

SimonM7 Yeah, you have had netflix for ages too. We got Zune Marketplace now though and can finally rent stuff on the 360. The points system on the 360 is retarded when you wanna rent a movie though. (4 Hours ago)

SimonM7 Destructoid was talking about a video rental service on the PS3. Has that launched in europe yet? If so, is it only accessible in select countries? (6 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yep. Kinda disappointing considering this was Oshii's contribution (of Ghost in The Shell fame), I honestly expected a lot better. (6 Hours ago)
  • dcdelgado
dcdelgado @SimonM7: yYeah did not like the art style but i lovd the way they dig into the halo lore and not concentrate on the cheif or spartans all the time, Babysitter is still my fav though. (6 Hours ago)
  • Doom_Bringer
Doom_Bringer just finished Dragon Age this evening. Overall another Bioware hit but the story is a little too simple...no big shocks like KOTOR here. Your choices really do matter big time though. GOTY 8.7/10 (7 Hours ago)
  • SimonM7
SimonM7 Yeah the art style ended up looking like utter garbage. The music saves the drama some though. (7 Hours ago)
