There's already a myriad of threads for this game about, but as usual I prefer to have one definite thread for all things related to a certain game.

Anyway, first off I'd like to say that I find the demo a bit naff, but that it's supposedly a bit old. Gamerankings usually proves useful for checking out the general critical reception of a game, but lately it seems terribly slow in updating its percentage. The Outfit has an enigmatic "--" so far, and I know some mags have reviewed it already.

Have you seen any scores for it? If so, do they seem favourable? I've looked forward to this game way too much to be fully put off by a shoddy demo.

Oh nuts. I didn't mean for this to end up in the "games" forum. Nobody ever checks anything in here, ever.

once you figure out how to play it, the demo is actually pretty fun. too bad i won't have much time for it in between GRAW and burnout tho. But it's really much more RTS played from the ground than arcade shooter

Ah yes Plumb, thanks a bunch!

Rjcc, I find the actual game, even the demo, pretty brilliant, but it's let down by technicak issues and really poor controls. Things that are easily fixed in a full version if they acknowledge them in the first place.

I enjoyed the demo quite a bit. Yes the vehicles handle like crap but you can get used to it. Multiplayer can get chaotic in a 4 on 4 match. And considering how much crap is flying everywhere and the amount of physics going on, the graphics are just right.

Definately picking this up next week. March has been a good month so far....

Great Styx, thanks.

They acknowledge similarities with one of my favourite shooters; Freedom Fighters, which earns the reviewer a lot of credibility in my eyes. Gamereactor normally doesn't strike one as the most serious and unbiased piece of journalism as I'm sure you agree, Styx. :D

On top of that they mention the controls as a bit of a hassle, but at the same time they don't seem intrusively poor anymore.

I find the controls in the demo to be just that.

Don't mention it ^^
Have you decided if your'e gonna get it yet?

And for the record, I totally agree on the Gamereactor part :D
Or, to qoute one of their visitors: -"Grafiket är snyggt"

When someone says it's not a good looking game, what they mean translated into terms my brain works with is; there aren't enough wet, shiny rocks in it, and the characters don't strive for ultimate redundant realism.

So suffice to say, I think the graphics and the look of the game is refreshingly charming. It's the only way you can treat WW2 when it's supposed to be wild and crazy like this without being distasteful.

Oh and Gamereactor.. I think it's the fact that they're a free, ad-driven magazine that gets to me. Somehow I usually feel they're basically giving out 8s and 9s to be able to feed their children at all.

8.5/10 and 4.5/5. Certainly not the most reliable sources, but it's looking up for sure.

6.9 from IGN. I had high hopes for this game at E3, but control issues, poor vehicle implimentation, and pacing are big issues.

Ouch, good idea with bad implementation it seems. Relic should stick to RTS games.

I picked it up yesterday and played a few levels. It's not the greatest thing since sliced bread but I find it fun and I'm a big WW2 buff so I'll eat up almost anything having to do with that period.
