It was announced during E3 2006 alongside Driver 5. Each of these franchises were developed by Reflections under publisher Atari. However, Atari has since sold both franchises (as well as three others), so they'll probably be developed by different developers. Also, no release dates (or ranges) have been given.

THQ + The guys behing spyhunter = Disaster

Very worried about this game now. Reflections were legends when it came to challenging driving games with incredible physics. I think this game is going to be really dumbed down.
