All right the game is OUT, Lets rock!
First off the games like $80 so you probably should find out you like it before you go out and blow your dough. Me personaly i got the game and an extra gutair and im lovin it. the game is basicly a button memory game like DDR (dance dance revolution) but on a guitar. i guess this is the more rocker/emo approach. This game is one of those love it or hate it sorta things and i really don't wanna hear anymore post about how the game is not worth $80 if it is WAIT till it goes down, mooch off your friend, buy it used, steal it just stop bickering about it. geez some of us have money.
anyway
i recomend that you try the game out first at one of those displays at like best buy or your local gaming store what have you.

RedOctane has just released three Guitar Hero II Track Packs, each one available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 500 Microsoft Points. Track Pack 1 includes "Bark at the Moon," "Hey You" and "Ace of Spades." Track Pack 2 features "Killer Queen," "Take it Off" and "Frankenstein." Track Pack 3 includes Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Higher Ground," "Infected" and "Stellar."

Additionally, RedOctane has released two Guitar Hero II picture packs (100 Microsoft Points) and one theme (150 Microsoft Points).

the whammy bar activates as being depesses only after being pulled up

No custom song hacks. yes unlike the ps2 the 360 can detect tampering and beside all that it's nearly impossible to put custom songs on there. the ps2 can do it but not the xbox 360 sorry im sure they'll find a way but no way yet.
