Can't wait to see what RE5 is guna be like :)
One thing i hate in video games are static hand gestures, and this game suffers from this badly.
AETOA is currently under reconstruction, so it'll look a bit funky for a while.

It's like a DS game where you have to pause the action every time you draw on the screen.
LMAO
In other words, if these scores are indeed from the new EGM, they are entirely worthless.
You likely just have different a different taste in games.

Alan Lawrence (Technical Director of Saints Row): It is too early to tell, but on paper the PS3 is comparable in power to the Xbox360. A lot will depend on how easy or difficult it is to get the full power out of the processors on the PS3. We take full advantage of the three cores on the Xbox360, so taking advantage of all seven SPEs on the PS3 will be critical.
Jacques Hennequet (Producer of Saints Row): It will be a very different beast than the 360, with its own strengths and weaknesses.

Who cares if SR is exclusive or not? It's not a killer-app and even if it is ported at some time it won't change anything...

Take one 360, add some chopped PS3, stir in some Wii, a sprinkling of DS Lite. Enjoy :)

But then we had the whole "8/10 is a bad score" discussion a while back, and there were weird amounts of people claiming that's a disappointing number. Oh well.

Wii60!
Here's what's supposed to be a short Dead Rising survey for future references?
Obviously this would likely mean they're atleast considering a sequel, so make sure you fill in that survey!
There it is: next-gen!

In one word, fun.
It's really really good, better than what I was expecting. The mall is HUGE and gameplay is overall really good. I like how you get new skills RPG style. The story is also better than what I was expecting--not to say I had low expectations--and the cutscenes as you can see from the webisodes are very well done.
I'm thinking I'm about 1/3 into the game, so it is also longer than expected. So to not repeat myself again, the game exceeded my expectations.
Many reviewers said the escort missions were a pain, some are, and some aren't. The missions where you have to take them by the hand are indeed a pain because they let go off your hand so easily it gets annoying. There's an escort mission where you have to help a guy who can't walk (leg's hurt), so you press B and you put his arm around your neck and this way the mission IS fun. You have a lot of control over your character and it's really hard for him to let go. The zombies also don't attack you as severely this way, so it's not annoying.
Remember the cutscene with the guys on the hummer? You kill them (not really easy unless you are actually prepared for the fight), but once you go back to that area sometime after, they'll be back, and those guys are a pain, especially when trying to escort someone.
There's this other side mission where you have to rescue 2 guys, and those two have to have the most stupid AI I've seen in a long while. They got into a store and they kept running to a wall, when they were about to leave, they would start walking the wrong way and go to a corner. Of course, they got killed and I lost time. To be honest though, I don't even know if I had to escort them or what because I can't read **** of what's on the screen.
See, I play this on a 22" SDTV and it's IMPOSSIBLE to read the many messages you get on-screen. I get a call on my walkie-talkie and can't read what I'm supposed to do, so I just follow the arrow and hope I can understand things by using logic. When you are rescuing someone, there's a conversation driven by subtitles only, and again, I can't read that crap. And I don't need glasses yet, so I know that's Capcom's bad idea, what was so hard about making the font a bit bigger when playing on SDTV?
When I read one of the many books to learn a new trick for the skateboard for example, I have to get the book, press start, go to items, skills, and then read what the book is going to help me in. In the menu, the font is about 2mm bigger, and I can read that--barely.
Strangely enough, the subtitles during the voiced cutscenes are perfectly readable--too bad I don't need to read them since I can hear perfectly fine.
So if something is really bothering me is that, the damn unreadable font. I don't know how much better this works on HDTV, but I'm betting it's readable at least.
Have fun, buy this game!

Another problem that kept me guessing was the map. I didn't realize you had to choose missions from that, so I missed a couple of scoops. And it's pretty difficult navigating the place at night. Police officers are nearly invisible, and they can sneak up on you. Just like in real life.
Gotta love the game. I'm stuck fighting convicts in a hummer, so I think tommorow I'm gonna reload my save and avoid that mission. On another note, I put on this mega man hat, and I can't take it off no matter what I do. It sucks, I thought it would be cool with the mega man gun, but its not anymore...Any suggestions?

...If you can't dazzle them with brilliance, baffle them with stupidity...
Let me tell you what entertainment is: Violence. Sex. Friendship. Death. Surprise. Betrayal. Dancing.

I don't choose my missions from the map, but from the watch. And I don't mind missing scoops as long as they are not story missions, those are the important ones. Of course, I try to do them, but let's say someone gets killed, I really don't care, nothing happens, yeah you don't get the points but that's the nature of the game.
And it's somewhat difficult to play at night, but maybe that's what they wanted it to be, and yes, cops sneak up on you just like in real life, lol.
From what you say, you are very early on the game. There's NO WAY to avoid the convicts, you are going to have to deal with them. You get a lot of pp for doing that though. Get the Uzi, the katana, and a bat, and take the rest of orange juice from the restaurant.
Now how to kill them. The first guy to take out is the gunner. Get behind a tree and watch them comes straight at you and get stuck in the tree, move a little to the side and shoot the gunner with the Uzi, he won't shoot since he thinks he'd hit the tree. Take the other guys out with the katana and the bat.
I died like 4 times trying to kill the convics until I realized how stupid they can be, and how easy they are to kill when you are prepared to fight them off.
The problem with this is that they magically show up later on, so I just evade them by walking where there's a lot of trees. I was lucky to have passed through the park in a couple of escort missions without even seeing them. Sometimes you see them really far away--probably stuck.
As for the megaman hat, I think you can go back to default clothing by going into the restrooms and pressing B infront of the mirror. I think you can also remove that thing by trying to put it on again, go to the store where you got it and try to put it on again, it worked in the demo for the lego heads.
Do you play on HDTV? Is the font size also a problem with that?

I tried taking the hat off where I first picked it up. It didn't work at all. Instead, my guy kept scratching his chin as if he was debating following my commands (What power have you given to your AI, Capcom? The right to disobey man!) I almost got eaten by some zombies while trying this a few times, so I gave up. It's in the MovieLand area if you want to check it out for yourself
I play on a 32" LCD and I don't have a problem seeing the font. lol I did find it rather cheap for them to use text instead of voice overs. Oh well, can't have everything.

But some good news is I got a 3,388 PP picture :D. Instead of taking a picture of that kid taking a picture, I took one of him doing a drop kick on an ass load of zombies.
