um, yeah, they may have some stuff that jumps a bit out of reality, but, at the same time, its close enough to keep you enthralled. If any of you remember in MGS2: the part where arsenal gear tells you that you have being playing too close to the screen, and too long; really freaked me out. Furthermore, it has fantastic gameplay, more than likely the best third-person shooter ever. The story, a bit, whack, but, thats what makes it MGS!!!

I honestly don't care what Kojima or anyone says. To me, it just sounds pretentious to try and play up what, in my opinion, IS just a cool sound.

I seriously can't stand when developers try to make shit sound more important than it is.

Nah, I don't necessarily hate them, but I do hate when they rave about shit that a)isn't that cool b)should be inherent to the game anyways c)shouldn't be made out to be more than what it is.

The worst is hearing the PR people trying to "sell" it with enthusiasm; it's absolutely nauseating.

I was hoping that the ps3 would be stronger but reading how KK maxed out the cell and ps3 and that mgs4 doesnt blow me away makes me sad. Dont get me wrong it still looks great but just not any noticably special to games on other platforms.

I have seen others play the showcase demo thank you very much. And devkits for PS3 has been out since 2004 and fully fledged since 2005 except blu-ray drive. That makes it roughly 4 years development time to disposal. This pretty much sums it all up and KK says they maxed it, he is a dev you are not, simple as that.

It isn't 'bullshit'. So you can stop guessing. That's straight from many
interviews. Also if you had ever actually played any of the previous MG games,
you'd know that psychology is a huge part of the story and gameplay...it's been that
way since the very first MG.

MGS4 and Resistance 2 are proof of concept that it is maxed out.The hype is beyond belief. Its quite bland from graphic to broken AI to average gameplay mechanics. You cant even jump over small objects only some but not all, fail.

i agree. for me, the graphics were nice in the cutscenes but a bit bland during the actual gameplay parts. combine that with the mediocre gameplay & i was a bit disappointed with it. after all the great reviews it has been getting, i thought it would be a breath of fresh air for my PS3... but Uncharted is still the only game that i consider a must have for the system.
