Since 6931 DaysFrom what I can tell, Fifa 09 tops Euro 2008 is every department, theres so much more depth to the gameplay, especially in terms of passing. I think the game is awesome.
The only department it is superior at is the shooting.

Shooting, Heading, long/short passing, opponent A.I, team mate A.I, player runs, tackling are all better in Fifa 09, I really dont understand how anyone can disagree, Its not even a question of preference. if you know about how football is played in real life, you will clearly see that Fifa 09 feels much more like the real thing.

Since 6140 DaysThe game is still very good though. Judging solely on the gameplay, I would be 50/50 with regards to whether I'd buy it or not. But the fact that there is:
- Be a pro: seasons
- 10 vs. 10 online
- 'Clubs'
- On form statistics
- Great soundtrack (Ting Tings, Foals and Muse FTW)
- Authentic presentation
All of that means that I am likely to get the game. Also, as rob230 correctly stated, the demo build is old and Suff (from FSB and WENB) has played the near final build. He said that it is much better than the demo in practically all departments.
This doesn't mean I'm definitely getting FIFA 09. I just hope that the PES 09 demo comes out before FIFA 09, so that I can compare the two and decide which one I am going to buy. PES 09 has to be outstanding if I am going to buy it, because my bro will anyway so I don't want to buy my own copy unless it is truly amazing.
It's great though, because I get to play both of them. :P
