Very good news for GOW fans, and those who never got a chance playing the first two.
Thanks to your feedback, we are excited to announce the God of War Collection for this Holiday Season. Now fans and newcomers to the series can experience the epic journey of God of War and God of War II in 720p HD form. Both titles have been remastered with anti-aliased graphics, running at 60 frames per second for a smooth gameplay experience, only on the PS3 system. Additionally, the Blu-ray Disc compilation will bring the PlayStation Network (PSN) trophy support to the franchise for the very first time.
I think this is US only for now.

I never got to play GOW games, so this is good news for me.
Now, Sony, let's make revamped versions of ICO and Shadow of the colossus before Last Guardian hits the shelves :P

Very true, didn't think of that.
For those that have the option to import from US to say EU, you can do it because its on bluray and all PS3 games are region free.
But nontheless, they should still release it in EU as well.

not sure if i'll be buying it since i own them both on the PS2, the HD resolution and trophy support is tempting, but i think i'll just blast through them as a rental. i do hope most series end up doing this tho, i'd love to get ico and shadow in "HD", maybe kingdom hearts as well. or all the old GTA games, including the city stories.

all over this one when it releases... I gave my ps2 to my brother and have been craving GoW ever since. Plus 60fps 720p will be hot. Day 1!

720p? I heard the upgrade was to 1080p.

Which ever it is, I sure am all over it. Especially since Sony is releasing it at the budget price of only $40.

Now if only we can convince Sony to give the same treatment to Ico and Shadow of the Colossus . . . :sigh:

EU version is coming next year, by which time the moment will have passed. if i get this thing i'd rather import it and get it this year.

thx man, might have to pick it up. would love to play through the second game again since i dont remember much of it.

even though all PS3 games are region free, theres something about this that worries me since they're ex-PS2 games...i assume it wont make any difference. but it would suck if you got it home only to find it didnt work.

God of War III: The GODLY edition, should have been its name.

Though, I dont appreciate the fact that they announced a DLC before the game is months away from release... I guess we should come to terms with content being cut of games now :S

Anyhow, Sexy godly edition! not getting it though. Too much money
