(and no my boulet wasnt intended to be "fanboyish" i was making a point that the "fanboys" will jump on the motorstorm trailer ..saying its better than anything on the 360. (its already happening on the ign, gamestop and gametrailers forums)

I really think expectations are too high for games in general. This kind of stuff isn't going to come over night. It's a launch title. And still I'd like you to tell me of an off road racer you believe is more realistic.

I think this looks like a wild, fun game, and quite frankly I think the graphics are great. Also, there's absolutely no shame in liking Full Auto, it's my secret sex buddy.

Although churning out "2" so soon seems pretty assy, but in a world where people are more prone to pick up sequels I guess it's understandable.

As for target renders. I dunno. In reality, when you actually play a game you "experience" the graphics more than you "see" them. If you stop and scrutinize things, games look different degrees of *bad* regardless of how *pretty* they are, and thing is - I'm not even sure that kind of ugly matters.

What difference does it make if a character model is so detailed you can zoom into its nose when you're not even gonna notice when you're playing the game? Isn't that a waste of resources both from a game engine standpoint and manpower/developer standpoint? A game like Panzer Dragon Orta is BEAUTIFUL not because Orta herself has hair on her nipples (ew! :O) but because the stuff on screen paints an awesome, moving picture.

This game looks awesome.. I would buy a PS3 just for this (no I won't)..

The Xbox 360 seriously needs a game like this.. A sort of next-gen RalliSport Challenge game with proper car damage and physics.. Atm it only has PGR3 which meets my standards for a racing game, which is a bit weak tbh just 1 game.. Upcoming Forza 2 etc is cool, but I really want some sort of banger/rally racing game, destruction derby kind of fun stuff.. Motorstorm looks a bit like that game..

Sounds good.. Can't wait to see some in-game media of it.. And I saw the Colin McRae Dirt renders aswell, that looked very good.. Still a long wait before anything comes out though.. Probably all well into 2007 unfortunatly..

from the hood cam the game looks WAAAAY better. It seems to move properly like that. Aside from that, it does look quite good.

I get the feeling that the lack of rumble will hurt in a game like this.

And i'm still waiting for pics/videos of that driver's perspective cam they showed in the CG trailer.

I hope they bring back the charm in Sega Rally Revo. That dreadful 2006 edition was just as soulless and uneventful as any given "normal" rally game.

Sega should use personality as a weapon, because it bloody is and they do secretly know how to wield it.

I think Rally Revo is being done by their new Euro racing team, so..it could really go either way. Being done by a new studio--I too hope that it retains some of the arcade charm of the originally Sega Rally games.

Exactly yeah. I hope they can have a similar success to Nintendo's Retro Studios, which is basically that they're itching to do something remarkable and has a different but awesome take on the material. I mean Metroid Prime is brilliantly Metroidy while being completely different in a mind bogglingly similar way.

Ow, I think I strained my brain with that thought. :O
