I wonder if Fable is a money thing? I wonder if could actually be closer to his trippy promises if they threw money at it until it looked like a billion bucks.. because it's covered in that amount of money.

Surprisingly, a number of MS' first party titles seem to not boast a very high budget, at least surely not a budget as high as what seems provided to major Nintendo or Playstation exclusives.

I know, I've always wondered why MS doesn't spend nearly as much money on their big exclusives as Nintendo and Sony do. I bet they are making Reach for a fraction of the price Killzone 2 cost.

I would really like to see a new MS IP announced. Rare is due for a true AAA game.

Well, I think KZ2 is proof that a great game requires much more than a buttload of time and money, IMO. I couldn't even dredge up the will to finish the game...

I hear ya', KZ2 was a turd in many ways (especially the story and MP design). I think I liked it more than you, but it wasn't NEARLY on the same level as most other AAA shooters IMO. However, it would be nice to see Microsoft spending the amount of money/time required to get more of their exclusives looking as nice as some of the huge budget games.

I remember hearing how much it cost Epic to makes Gears 2, and it was a surprisingly small amount of money. I can only imagine how amazing that game would look with a Killzone/Gran Turismo level budget

Anyone read the Bungie Weekly Update? It sounds to me like there's a very good chance that we may see Reach gameplay at X10.

GDC is supposed to be a conference for develeopers so there is a better chance of seeing mainstream news from X10 IMO.

Ubisoft has just announced Ghost Recon: Future Soldier, new game in the famous tactical FPS series. The game is being developed by the Ubisoft France studios, and will be available worldwide by the end of 2010. Moreover, in Summer there'll be an Xbox 360 multiplayer public beta open to every Splinter Cell: Conviction owner.

First person only MP ? single player is cool in third dont mind that, but MP has to be FPS i hate the fact no one pears round corners when they can just use the camera angle.
