opening track is quality old school metal its great, about 4 songs into the album it seriously goes down hill though.

A Canadian band, Protest the Hero. New album releases on the 03/22, but until then, I've been getting my fix via youtube.

Another Canadian band and one of the only Indie bands I listen to, Mother Mother. Not enjoying their latest album as much as their previous two because they oxymoronically went more mainstream Indie. Still, I do like their first single enough.

And I almost hate to admit it, but there's this one Eminem song that is pretty fucking awesome. I don't really like rap, and Lil Wayne's part is complete garbage, but Eminem's got some pretty sick "flow" if you're into that sort of thing. Heard this for the first time on Joe Rogan's podcast.

I saw Protest (with Maylene and The Sons of Disaster and Tesseract) last Wednesday. They were great. I did think the crowd sucked balls though. I saw Down at the same venue the previous Friday and there were twice as many people there, in a generally older and more enthusiastic crowd. It was a lot more fun. All of the bands at the Protest show put on a good performance though.

Next up: Clutch on my birthday. I can't wait.

I lied. The Deftones and Dillinger's Escape Plan wound up being first. I've never been a huge Deftones fan, but hell they were very good last night. Good summer for shows so far. Clutch next Friday :D

Most of you will have heard the song "Somebody that I used to know" which is especially hot in NZ/OZ at the moment. (funny thing is I thought it was this unreleased song by the police of sting the first time I heard it on the radio)
Albums nice and feels like something fresh and "new" (I hate saying that :P)
