Yea Oro isn't done by a long shot. No way they could let him go out in such a pitiful manner. He'll be better than ever in time. I don't think Kabuto will be able to fully hold off the Orochimaru side of him. He's no fool I wouldn't be surprised if Oro always knew of Kabuto's potential and kept him around as an insurance policy.

I bet my ass that Uchicha Madara (Tobi) is pulling all the strings. Note that Jiraiya said that he's the one who could have summoned Nine-Tails. Note also that all Jinchuruki (tailed demons) are or were being sealed into living humans at the same time... He probably summoned them all at near time so that the most powerful ninja of each village would deal with the demons and seal them into babies (note that Gaara is a bit similar to Naruto and they are at similar age...) and now Akatsuki are extracting demon chakra from the demon hosts. Madara probably made Pein so much more powerful and convinced him to be leader of Akatsuki so that he's not in the spotlight once counter-espionage of each village starts investing the organization. He had been probably looking after Uchicha clan and while Itachi was an obvious genius ninja, he also knew Sasuke has probably as much potential. Itachi was always ambitious so that it wasn't hard for Madara to convince to help him with his goals, but he knew Sasuke wasn't determined enough to train as hard to match Itachi, so Madara and Itachi made Sasuke want to kill his brother... And it paid off. The rest of Uchicha family was useless to Madara so wiping out entire clan wasn't a big waste for him. In the new episode he is watching Sasuke and wondering if he will get rid of Orochimaru's "legacy" from his soul/behaviour.
Now we probably know why Madara needs other 2 Mangekyou Sharingan users, but we don't know why he needs the demon chakra of all Jinchuruki.

The one to break all Madara's plans is probably Naruto as he 1)might have influence on Sasuke, 2)is a son of the most powerful Konoha's ninja ever and he already achieved things Minato wasn't able to do (or didn't have enough time to achieve) - such as that evolved Rasengan

So while Pein might be an interesting character and have some mysteries, he's probably only a tool.

Well it's been stated that the sealing of the tailed beasts into babies was a common practice by a number of villages so I wouldn't say madara summoned them all. Chiyo of the sand village confirmed that tailed beasts removed from previous hosts caused the host to die so it seems to me like a common practice by a number of ninja villages.

I suspect pein might not be a complete tool of Madara's as the way Konan responded to him when he was mentioning the new technique Naruto learned showed from her a sense of disgust at the very thought that Naruto much less anyone could present a challenge for Pein. Pein has never lost a battle and that's something even Madara himself acknowledged. If Pein has never lost a battle then it's assumable that Madara himself hasn't tested his skills against Pein or maybe wouldn't want to or doesn't see the need to because he respects his power enough to consider him a comrade or equal.

They probably share a similar goal as opposed to one being the tool of the other. Something is strange about Itachi I don't believe he's quite the ruthless power hungry person that he portrays himself as. There is a reason for what he has done. He wanted to speak to Naruto for a reason.. something I suspect that would reveal his true intentions. I wouldn't be surprised if what Itachi showed Sasuke about the Uchiha Clan's murder was all fake and he isn't actually the one that did it.

It's proven now you don't need to murder your best friend to achieve Mangekyou Sharingan because Kakashi has it. I suspect Itachi's main reason for having Sasuke develop all that anger in his heart to strive to become stronger the way he has done his entire life is because he believes he'll need Sasuke to defeat Uchiha Madara and wont be able to do it himself. I think Madara is the true murderer of the Uchiha Clan. Just my wild speculation

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Itachi were simply in the Akatsuki because he believed it would lead to him Madara. Itachi just doesn't fit the profile of the killer he has been portraying himself to be. He has always struck me as having his own motivations. The very fact that Pein, konan and Madara met by themselves and claimed Sasuke was dead in front of Itachi is suspicious to me. They probably know why Itachi is really in the Akatsuki.

What if Minato Namikaze did have a second child with Kushina Uzumaki and Pein was that child? Pein has to much of a resemblance to Naruto and the description of Kushina for there not to be some sort of family connection. Pein also exhibits, in a perverse way, the same character qualities as Naruto. Independent in thought process (the very unique jutsu that they do), desire to protect others (Naruto going bat **** crazy whenever someone he cares about is hurt and Pein leading a popular revolt/protecting the people of Amegakure), desire to become a powerful ninja (Naruto wants to be Hokage while Pein…. He has to have a plan for all those tailed beasts). Also Pein’s fighting technique, shown so far, is like Naruto. Naruto will form a shadow clone while Pein does his shape shifting jutsu. In some ways Pein is like a dark reflection of Naruto.

It’s stated that leaving power to your child is a natural thing to do in the Naruto universe so why wouldn’t Minato leave something for Pein? (Assuming that Pein is his child.) That would help explain why Pein has never lost a fight. The gift Minato left Naruto was pretty kick ass so I would expect something like that left to Pein. What if the gift was the ability to copy kekkei genkai? That would be a just as good as Naruto’s demon fox.

Also, when was Tobi completely taken as Marada Uchiha and that Marada can only jump into sharingan users? It seems more likely that Tobi is Obito that is being possessed by Marada but that Marada only comes out when needed. The Nine-Tails is sealed in a “cave” in Naruto. What if Marada in a cave in Tobi but isn’t sealed there?

Only having one sharingan eye as well as it being on the right side seems too coincidental for there not to be a connection between Tobi and Obito. Marada couldn’t have lived long enough in the same body. We have seen people using various jutsu to “extend” their lives by stealing others but never have we seen someone just naturally live forever. We also know that Orochimaru was looking for a way to become immortal when he left Khona. What if he joined Akatsuki after learning of the dual nature of Tobi/Obito? That would definitely be a draw for Orochimaru sine it would allow him to study HOW it was done so he could replicate it. Also, remember that Orochimaru first tried to use this technique on Itachi. Why would he try to take one someone as powerful and independent as Itachi first unless the technique was designed for sharingan users first and later modified for anyone?

As for what Marada is planning, I think it is the polar opposite of Itachi. I agree with you Op. I don’t think Itachi really kills without purpose. He killed his BFF to get the Mangekyo Sharingan but why kill the rest of the village? When he did kill the rest of the village why leave Sasuke? How did Itachi know how to obtain the Mangekyo Sharingan if it was considered very rare to get a fully evolved sharingan to begin with? Maybe Itachi realized that he was being groomed to be taken over but only after he had killed his BFF and set Sasuke on a path to obtain real ultimate power so that he could have some help in destroying Marada.

Yeah, but it's a little weird that there are ALL 9 demon hosts running around at the same time, isn't it?I'm not saying Pein is a weaksauce. Maybe I exaggerated when I said that Madara developed Pein as a ninja and gives him direct orders, but he might manipulating Pein. I think if he somehow survived 5-6 generations (assuming Tobi=Madara), then he might be pretty skilled at observing and manipulating people. But how do you account for his Marada's age unless he is jumping from body to body. It would also make sense for him to talior the "jump jutsu" to sharingan users since he would belive they were the only ones powerful enough for him.

As for Obito not fitting in Akatsuki, Tobi never seemed to fit in the Akatsuki either. He was always so up-beat that it made the others seem even darker. Just like how Obito made Kakashi seem meaner then he was. If you look at how Tobi was acting infront of Pein, that's nothing how we saw him act before then. It was as if he was a totally different person.

I believe that Orochimaru did try to take Itachi's body but because the jutsu was new, Itachi didn't know what was going on. Just that Orochimaru was attacking him. Orochimaru had to be obsessed with the sharingan BEFORE his defeat though. His dream was two fold. Immoratility first but only so he can master every jutsu. Knowing of the powers of the sharingan, since he was from the same village, the thought of figureing out how Marada had been transfering his body into sharingan users must have been too good of a chance for Big O to pass up. Big O is sort of a loaner so why would he team up with others. He always came across to me as having a Napoleonic complex.

As for the time gap, we don't know how the tranfer takes place or the best age for it. It might be more like how Kabuto is suffering now. A slow take over of the body and mind. Maybe after Obito (Assuming the Obito=Tobi is correct) was captured he didn't die and Marada was able to transfer into him then. Before Obito could regain his strength, Marada could give orders to set everything in motion. I assume that Marada has a set of followers here.

I think Marada wants to take down the...human/crow demon....thing. Sorry but i can't think of the name right now. The one that is hinted as being the source of the sharingan's power. He needs as many powerful sharingan users as possible and seeing how gifited a ninja Sasuke was compared to every other user he provided some motivation to improve.

I'll assume that whatever madara has done to preserve himself for this long just might be a bit different than orochimaru's technique. Orochimaru changing bodies when he has to is just a side effect of his technique, but there is no telling if Madara has a superior technique

That kid looks nothing like Pein. Young Kakashi looked like adult Kakashi. Young Jaraiya looked like adult Jaraiya. Young Big O looked like adult Big O. It doesn't make sense for that pudgy looking kid is Pein.

I did think of something that I'm almost sure is wrong. What if Pein is really Minato that has been totally screwed up by sealing the 9 tails? Having Naruto fight his father, whom he has never really known, would make for a good read.

I don't know if it's allowed on the forums and if it isn't then just please delete my post but, I found a site that lets you watch the Naruto Shippuden episodes. They are subbed in english so you know what's being said but if you are watching these you already know what's going on.

Here comes new spoilers for next chapter! Assuming they are legit, but it sounds good!

The time when Nagato was a child, after the changing of his eye and the naming of it to 'spiral eye'. (It wasn't spiral eye before) note: the name of the eye changes to 'metempsychosis' which is believed to be the 'migration of the soul to another body'

Within the three great eye techniques, it is the most supreme eye, the ancestor of the ninja had six bodies with these eyes
Note: the first part is actually (the three great pupil techniques) could be inference to byakugan and sharingan

It was the eye that Rokudou Sennin, said to be the ancestor of all shinobis, had.

All modern ninjutsu used by shinobi were developed by this hermit fellow (or fellows).

I actually don't really believe he's taking orders from Madara. I think Madara was more speaking to him as an equal or very well respected up and coming shinobi he wants to be on his side rather than someone he bosses around

I mean afterall, it can't be overlooked that Pein has NEVER lost a fight.

If this stuff is true it essentially makes Pein like a successor to the God of all shinobi considering he may have the abilities of the very shinobi that created all modern ninjutsu that is used today. A possible reason why he's referred to as god. He has exactly six bodies :o

If he is indeed taking orders from Madara, he may just be using him for his experience, or because he possess knowledge that he needs. Only listening to Madara until some goal is accomplished, and then he simply takes him out. If Madara really did summon the Nine Tails, i think its reasonable to assume he's the only real threat to Pein's authority.

I think Jiraiya will definitely prove to be a serious threat to Pein's Authority I mean he did train him. Pein no doubt has learned many other tricks since his time with Jiraiya, but I think there is no question the man who the 3rd wanted to be Hokage will surely be a threat to Pein. For all we know Pein's migration of the soul to another body like he did with Itachi and Kisame is how Madara is still alive.

I suspect Madara isn't as strong as he use to be when he fought the 1st Hokage, but still impressive enough. He once said something about bringing about the sharingan's true power I, Uchiha Madara's power.

Pretty much if Pein can take on Jiraiya or pose a serious threat to him I think there is no question he could just as easily pose a threat to Madara, but they appear to be working together somehow. I mean we've seen many cases where bad guys that consider themselves on the same level talk down to eachother or patronize the other. We see it a lot within the Akatsuki. All Madara said to Pein was As the leader your failure is unacceptable. That could mean there will be consequences or it could just as easily mean "I expect a lot from you I don't expect to be disappointed" Even Madara confirmed Pein has never lost a battle. Pein is the same person that took out Hanzou who defeated all 3 sannin by himself so I think it would seem almost unimaginable that Pein isn't on par with Madara.

Seems like I was wrong about that Pein guy - he has interesting bloodline and abilities, perhaps even better than Uchicha clan?

I'm rereading all Naruto manga episodes now. I'm at volume #27. Going back to the old episodes and rereading some stuff makes me understand a bit more of Naruto universe. I also admire how it is wonderfully crafted - a random sentece might have great meaning 50 episodes later.

Here is perfect translation of entire chap Knowing how young they were I don't see it as impossible madara with all his experience and strength could come in and mold nagato/pein in his image. So it would make sense for Pein to have a lot of respect for and follow Madara then
