Downloaded it with +/- 400 KB/s I think it was about an hour ago.. Not to bad from a site like megaupload I guess..

framerate has seriously improved. there are still the odd drop but overall it runs smooth and looks amazing. after playing system shock 2, this is by far my most anticipated game this year. mass effect a close second.

Wow, the video's really great. Although it's only showing short sequences, so it doesn't spoil anything in terms of story, but maybe it spoils some of the best sequences in the game? I hope not...

apart from the scenes like the plane crashing through the glass walkway i dont believe this game has any real scripted events or designated areas of combat, or "sequences" its all up to the player and where and when you run into the enemies. you can go through the whole game without disturbing a big daddy at all. but that long, intense fight with the big daddy can be triggered anywhere in the entire game. the inhabitants of rapture go about their buisiness, and its up to you whether you're going to interfere or not. and thats what excites me about the game. it seems to be completely unscripted. at least from a combat perspective.

The design reminds a lot of the sanitarium level in Vampire:Bloodlines. Bloodlines had some of the best level designs ever in a game. Lots of other things, not so much.

yeah that was almost evident in the footage, but there where the odd drop. but im sure it'll be optimised to all hell by release.

Very creepy. Looks very clean and nice... for a twisted game. What was dissappointing was the person playing was playing it as a traditional FPS. A lot of the early previews showed how the game could be played more intelligently. Bioshock is shaping up to be one of the best SP campaign games we have seen this gen. It definately is a looker.

It would be a shame if a game 2 years into console's life from a quality developer that takes place mostly in relatively narrow corridors and small rooms would have framerate problems. ;P

how so, the AI isnt about combat so much in this game, so its never gonna be like FEAR becasue that's not their focus, their AI works in the way all the "characters" interact, big daddys' protecting the little sisters, little sisters foraging for adam. and it's all done by the AI, non of it is scripted. in a lot of ways its the most dynamic and adaptive AI we've seen. but in terms of combat, it is a little one trick.

How is it not about combat when that's all we saw in the video? Combat will be big part of the game. The AI just standing there or simply following you is not smart and certainly not something that will be fresh throughout the game. Take the guy throwing 'nades from the balcony, all he does is stay there and wait to get hit in the face by yet another grenade. Could he perhaps at least........."cook" them some more so the player doesn't have all the time in the world to send it back? Could he do it faster? Could he jump out or go hide somewhere? I'm sure that would improve the combat a lot.

So the AI is cool when passive, but not in combat, I want it to be great in both areas.

I don't know. Texture filtering is good in the 360 version to the point that i don't care - maybe it's 'only' AFx4, but it looks fine to me. And the game is running on UE3, so there probably won't be AA on either version... Though the viseo seems jaggyless, maybe thanks to video compression. Since Irrational said that they don't focus on DX10 technology, I think PC version will feature "only" higher resolutions and better textures.

I have 'only' Core 2 Duo and GF7900, so I think 360 version with its perfect 30fps and 1000 achievement points is the way to go for me.:)
