It looks good, and the premise is an appealing one. But i have too many open world long winded games to play already plus there's God of war right around the corner. This is going to have to be a bargain bin pick up I think.

In the AI shortcomings video, I think I saw 6 identical NPC's at the end. Oh boy.
And did I see it correct that the bow is 1 shot 1 kill, but a handgun or smg is multiple shots or 1 headshot?
I'm not getting this, just like I skipped on Ass Creed Origins.

I was sort of interesting in this game, as I hadn't played a FC game since 3, which I really enjoyed. Although, after seeing that AI, I think I'll give it a miss, or at least wait and see if that'll be sorted out. No joke, but games like the original Doom and Goldeneye all look to have superior AI than what that video was showing, and that's not hyperbole. Does my box in. Here we are in 2018 and devs have gone backwards as far as actually making a game a game. They're focused more or less on the tech that builds games, and just better visuals. Everything seems to get cut and pasted in terms of game design, structure, and more importantly, AI.

What difficulty was this set on?

Normal, but this was recorded early in the game and things seem to get more and more challenging.

If you really enjoyed Far Cry 3 you should totally not skip Far Cry 5 because of its AI. I assure you the AI in Far Cry 3 was no better. The amount of new stuff to do (NEW GAMEPLAY) in FC5 is fairly immense. If you enjoyed Far Cry 3 you'll probably enjoy FC5. And your DOOM example. Yeah, that's hyperbole.

One of the best reviewed games in the franchise? Good call.

And lol.. can't take that damage nitpick seriously. Far Cry 5 isn't a simulator. Damage is modeled for gameplay reasons not because it should take one bullet to kill someone.

Not watched the videos yet but this still runs on the old engine right? So im expecting it not to look anywhere near as good as Origins or Wildlands.

Just watched the firefight vids, AI looks a step up from Wildlands.

Why is your guy your controlling got some weird super vision that lights up enemies in red through walls, crates etc etc

Is there though? There are proper planes & helicopters now, but the rest seems very much like more Far Cry.

I think the vehicle upgrades are pretty notable. It's definitely a Far Cry game though. That's not a bad thing if you enjoy Far Cry games. Far Cry 5 Arcade also seems like it could have some potential to be an interesting platform, but I'm not so sure. Still.. if anyone is interested in the editor it's more robust than ever.

i hate that, its as if you are batman in every ubisoft game.
i hope there is a way to turn it off in the settings

Yeah on the official forums someone got the game early and has said you can turn it off.

Should be off by default and if you want a cheat mode then you should have to turn it on rather than cheat mode enabled from the start.

Good to know. The way enemies just completely ignored your presence and ran past you just made AI look broken.

I'll give it a crack, maybe later though once all the dust settles on the pricing of all the inevitable "editions". The Doom example was just saying that if an enemy spotted you, it attacked, unlike in that video.

Oh lawd no. In fact, I'm gonna let you on a little secret. A third of Trump voter/supporters were the same people who voted for Obama twice...and were disappointed with the results.

As someone who has completed AC Origins, from these videos, this game looks as good or better than that one. The streaming system they have in place is damn impressive. The landscape level detail is pretty fantastic, as is the representation of the location.

I asked a question about the bow. Still no answer...

He actually answered the question in the post you just quoted. It's for gameplay reasons. The same was true for tomb raider. The bow is essentially a one shot stealth weapon. It's been designed as such. That's all there is to it. It's slow to draw and aim, slow to reload and slow to fire. As with any other game, "slow" usually comes with the one advantage of being powerful, whether it's a melee weapons, characters, guns etc... The sniper rifles will be the same no doubt.

GTB Je rappelle que Sony a vendu le jeu dans près de 200 pays où le PSN n'est pas dispo, donc nombre de joueurs ayant payé le jeu ne pouvaient juste plus y jouer du tout. Lunaire. (il y a 1 Heure)
