Here at Gamersyde, saying we don't like April fool's jokes would be a dramatic understatement. Nevertheless, it would be even more foolish to skip this very nice (and weird) video of an imaginary cross-over between Metal Gear Solid 4 and Assassin's Creed, produced by Ubisoft and Konami themselves - especially knowing that besides the Altaïr joke, the video features real never seen before gameplay from Hideo Kojima's next game.

That's it I am not watching anymore videos of assassins ceed, the last one being the short video on gamersyde, did not wath the acre one. this is Ubisoft's problem ... they spoil their games WAY TOO much closer to release and they end up not having the impact they should have on us.
Other than that, I really cant wait for this game to come out!

they really havnt shown much if you think about it, not enough to consider the game spoiled, the odd cinematic cut-scene, a couple mins of gamplay here and there. considering the game is ment to be long (40 hours apparently) the 30 mins of footage total they've released isnt going to really effect much. same with mass effect. they've recently shown quite a lot. but really, in relation to the story its very little.

games like assassins creed need this footage imo, simply to see if its shaping up as they promised. it lets you know they've sorted out the erratic animation it once had, shows how a missions plays out, shows the scale of the world and the freedom you have in it. i'd personally rather have 30 random minutes of the game "spoiled" (if you can call it that) then get it home and find out its nothing like you expected.

Ok, i know alot of people aren't going to like this what i have to say about AC, but this is what i think:

Its looks Linear
It looks like prince of Persia with half the action
Overall it looks boring

Obviously i have no real clue as to what the game will be like, but thats just my guess from what i've seen, in comparison to games like "Hitman Codename 47" It looks very dull, gameplay wise. There are about 3 steps to the whole game, as far as we have been shown:

1) Get to the target by jumping on buildings
2) Kill the target
3) RUN AWAY!!!!

(Ps that whole, throwing daggers at people far away was such a cop out, really lame imo)

Actually, all of that was probally wrong, but in comparison to Hitman Blood Money, it doesn't really compare.

linear lol i think u need to rewatch vids, diares etc
and the reaon why you say its half action of pop is because it isn't one. this game has a more realistic medieval fighting to it than fancy combos u find in othe games

Lol are you serious? Realistic medieval fighting?

Ok i've never heard of medieval assassins throwing daggers at mens throats, taking on 10 guards who can swing their swords as if they were made of rubber and combinations where a man armed with a dagger can stab a man 5 times in the space of 2 seconds and instantly kill him.

The game bears absolutely nothing on what any sort of medieval sword fight would have gone, if this was realistic you would have the ability to follow your targets into their homes, and kill them in diff ways such push them down their stairs, poison their fruit, slice their throat as they sleep, hell even put a poisonous snake into their bed covers.

From what i've seen all you do i find your target follow your target for a bit if you choose then stab them then run away, how is that not linear........

ok maybe medieval fighting wasn't the right word to use. perharps sword fighting , this isn't a button musher, hackn slash, fancy magical spells and all that stuff u see in your typical games. i recommend u specify what u don't like about the gameplay instead of saying its half pop action because this isn't pop related in any way.

you can almost explore, interact with anything in this game. finish missions however u wish so i don't know what u mean by linear game.
and i'm certain putting poison in fruits pushing them off stairs isn't medieval fighting either

This game is about freedom gameplay and tons of paths to take to take down your enemy.

I wouldn't say its even close to linear.
