Certainly not photo realism Martijn, but I think it looks pretty awesome for GTA. Can't wait for some more details. Setting is good too, interesting character..could be great.

Saw it now....Looks good, indeed not photo realism...but theyre getting there.
Real city this time, but why do they always choose NY....there are more city's in the world. But stil great to see NY in good detail this time. I hope they made it big :)

It looks good for what it is, but doesn't blow me away.

It looks nice, but I do hope they do more with it then they did with SA. So far it looks and feels very similar to SA, not that you can tell much.

I have never been impressed by a GTA always thought they sucked when they hit 3d, but, this trailer impressed me :D, dunno, something about the russian that i found appealed to me .

Thanx again to Playsyde for the HD MP4 download on this, was good to download on PS3 and see how it will look on TV. Deffinately looks alot better then the last gen. It's in games like this that the new gen will show what it's made of.

Just have to see how the 2 versions turn out as to which one I get.

he looks like an old bum. They shoulda made the player able to create their own character, like in Saints Row.

i have to say i love the character design...i hated the create your own in saints row...I want to play as rockstars choice..those guys know what there doing...i mean saints row was ok but it got old very quickly and i really hated the way it felt unfinished...i think that screenshot is amazing..i mean look at the filthy street and all the bussiling crowd...also look at his hands...so detailed

Custome character can be a nightmare for story driven games.

Will be interesting to see how Mass effect turns out with the Male/Female choice.

Anything more then that should be left for sports games and FPSs with a heavy multiplayer leaning.

Charactersistic are central to any plot. Could you imagine being to customise the main character in a book or film!! just wouldn't work.

Also realised that of course some RPGs like Oblivion work with character creation, but again the plot lines then become very un-personal

Yeah, I agree. I really dislike all this character custumization in games these days. Clothes or armor is one thing, but I don't want to sculped an entire person out of nothing.
99% of the time they look weird anyways and unlike many devs suggest, I don't really feel all that connected with this customized character at all.

I prefer that they create a strong character people can relate to, this way you feel much more involved with the character, imo.

Anyways, the graphics are not revolutionary or anything, but for an GTA game that is coming out soon, I'm more than satisfied.
I was watching this Saint's Row/GTA IV comparison vid a while back and throught out the entire vid I was thinking: "The graphical leap isn't really all that huge".
But when the last comparison shot appeared of an overview of the city, it became very clear to me how HUGE the difference really IS..!

The draw distance and detail of the city is absolutely stunning, nothing less..!
