Assassin's Creed retrospective

In a few days, Assassin's Creed Unity will be out in the open and we thought it would be the perfect timing to look back on the seven years that have gone by since the release of the first episode. Six games that we decided to capture one last time on PC to make these two retrospective videos. If you have ever wondered how far the series has come graphically, now is your chance.

The First 10 Minutes:
The Da Vinci disappearance

The latest DLC of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood was released a couple of days ago and those who only long for an extended single player experience have not been forgotten since there is both single player and multiplayer content in The Da Vinci Disappearance. Here are the first 10 minutes of this new adventure in which Ezio is going to Da Vinci's rescue. Also in the menu this morning, a second gameplay video showing the very first stealth mission in order to get back one of the great inventor's paintings. Although there is nothing really new in this new DLC (you fight, you sneak around, you tail someone in the street, you explore catacombs Lara Croft would have loved, etc), it still works as well as it did in the original game. Sure, the single player missions could have been a bit longer - as always with this type of content - but if you are both interested in single player and multiplayer, 10 bucks is certainly not a rip off.

New DLC for ACB

Ubisoft just announced the upcoming release of new downloadable content for Assassin's Creed Brotherhood and entitled "The Da Vinci Disappearance". In story mode, you will be given 8 new missions that will allow you to discover two new locations as well as two new gameplay features. The pitch is pretty simple: Da Vinci goes missing and Ezio obviously decides to go after him, searching for some of his paintings as they are his only lead. Multiplayer addicts will not be forgotten as the DLC will feature one new map set in Spain (Grenada), two new game modes and four new playable characters. It will cost you 800 Microsoft points to get it on Xbox Live, no price yet on PSN but it should be around $10.

AC Brotherhood at the Mont St Michel

Ubisoft surprised us tonight by annoucing the first multiplayer downloadable content of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood: A Mont Saint Michel map, nothing less. I'd rather see it as a single player mission too, but who am I to complain when it's free. Release on December 14 on 360 and PS3.

GSY REVIEW | X360, PS3, PC Wednesday, November 17, 2010 | 2:45 PM
Gamersyde Review:
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood

Many things have been said about Ubisoft’s strange, if not highly suspicious, announcement of a new Assassin’s Creed game to be released just one year after the previous episode. We, at Gamersyde, like many others, never thought for one second that it would be anything more than a slightly bigger than usual add-on, along with a multiplayer mode. Ubisoft also chose to promote mostly this mode, proving our doubts. And now that we got to play the game, it’s with surprise that we can say that Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood is nothing less than the best one released yet, and after the already excellent Assassin’s Creed 2, it’s saying a lot! More inside!

docLEXfisti I am a bis disspointed, for EUR 69 I get a lame visual novel style story-mode and missing out on characters that are paid dlc. At current state, it's worth 39,90 at best. (15 Hours ago)
