Magatama

After quite a bit of trouble with my video capture setup, I've finally managed to encode the first 10 minutes of Magatama. First 10 minutes not really aptly named, since the video is a bit longer than that. Explanations and first look inside...

Playasia has sent Magatama 4 days early for all pre-orders, so here I am now with a full copy of the game one day before the official japanese release. Very nice !
I'm still working on the "first 10 minutes" video and other niceties, so in the meanwhile, enjoy this demonstration vidéo from the game !

I have on a forum the first ingame video of Magatama I ever saw. It's 2 and a half minute long for 5 MB, so don't expect a very high quality, but it should be enough until I get my own import copy hopefully on the 19th. There should be a ton of video of that game within a week !

Microsoft has also updated the official Magatama page with a new trailer. Available as a download here, it's a must see for fans of japanese games !

Dorigama and Famitsu Weekly have reviewed both Project Gotham Racing 2 and Matagama. The grades are not excellent, but still not too bad.

Here is another xboxyde's exclusivity ! My friend Jasconius will do a few translations every month of interesting japanese news or interviews. The first one is Hiroshi Kawai's interview from Xbox.com. Anyone remotely interested in Magatama shoud check it out !

Microsoft a mis à jour ce matin le Magatama/index.html target="_blank" >site officiel de Magatama sur xbox.com avec une présentation un peu plus complète du jeu en Flash. J'en ai extrait les images, et converti les vidéos en flash vers du wmv avec beaucoup de difficultés. A voir si vous aimez les jeux à ambiance japonisante !

J'ai enfin réussi à trouver une version gratuite du trailer complet de Magatama, sur le site du magazine officiel Xbox Coréen (je ne vous raconte pas la galère pour l'inscription). Bref, un jeu qui s'annonce plutôt bien !

Microsoft tente visiblement de bien faire avec ce TGS. Sur ce site se trouvent une bonne dizaine de vidéos en streaming d'excellentes qualité, avec interview de développeurs et trailers de jeux. Malheureusement intégralement en japonais ces videos n'ont pas grand intérêt à l'exception de quelques images inédites. J'ai donc passé une bonne partie de l'après midi à récupérer tout ça et à en extraire les quelques minutes intéressantes.

Microsoft a dévoilé 6 nouvelles images haute résolution de Magatama, qui permettront de patienter en attendant le trailer officiel.
