BiA3 is using UE3 right?

I am too poor to own a 360... therefor I play with paper statistics. The results of my indepth scientific anaylisis determined the most important benchmark is Pi. As in The Ring of Light.

Me dies.
You cannot post scans here, but we can discuss magazines, right? I feel bad for those of you without OXM yet.
Hard to say without seeing something in motion and at the right resolution, but 0_o. Again, 0_o. The shot of the three guys running is absolutely awesome. Take the guy to the right. Note the great use of lighting, yet the cloth looks unshiney. More importantly is the presence of soft self shadowing. It looks absolutely amazing. The uniform looks like cloth too--large wrinkles that give a great sense of detail and depth.
The guy in the back, on the other hand, is clearly outside the light. But instead of being all dark, there is still a great sense of contrast and grit. Again the shadowing is excellent.
The middle guy (front) is the money shot. He is clearly just passing the wall where his front half is getting sun (looks to be setting) while the back half is in the shadow of the building. It looks absolutely perfect.
And the scene is non-trivial in detail. There is a ton of junk laying around, and the 3 characters all exude detail. Knives--that actually stick out and not just pasted on, straps on the backpacks that are REAL straps, bootlaces (front guy) hanging down.
This games slaps GOW and UT2007 in the gace. Sure, it lacks the moody sci fi theme/art, but it has an unbelievable grit and sense of realism.
Best part? BiA is a GREAT playing series. Who cares about the graphics, it is all about the gameplay. But alas it looks like BIA may be the best looking next gen game shown to date.
Killer.
App.
Me dies.

Just seen them on a gamespot forum and if they are realtime then its the best graphics I have seen from a next gen game.

What one will you get...
Call of Duty 3 (started developement during COD2 developement)
Medal of Honor Airborne
BIA3
...for me it has got to be BIA for the realistic gameplay and authenticity. Medal of honor does sounds amazing though.

I've been finding it really hard to even bother playing call of duty 2 anymore I find the graphics very inferior after looking at all the stuff i have been recently :(

Now this is an amazing-looking game, truly next-gen graphics. And I’m really happy that is a BiA game. I enjoyed both the first and the second one, they’re authentic, very involving experiences, unlike arcade shooters like MoH or CoD.
It’s not that I don’t like mindless shooters (just finished Black… Hell… Now that was some “explosive” action…) but the kind of depth and strategy found in BiA games is second to none.

WOW
I cannot believe how amazing the lighting and shadowing is in those screenshots. It is the best I have ever seen. The character and envirmoental detail only adds to eye candy.
I can't wait to see this in motion.

i'm just afraid all the next-gen games will start looking identical because of the widespread use of the unreal engine 3
i can't wait to see what iD unveils for this next-gen, i know it's gonna be mindblowing

Decoy, you think that looks like the other UE3 games we have seen?
Ia gree that Gears, UT2007, Mass Effect, Huxley, and Too Human all had a very similar look.
But this seems to have a very different look. Similar technical effects, but then again probably better than they could do alone. Better nice shadowing than poor shadowing. Anyhow, from those 2 shots I could not tell it was UE3.

i still recognized this game as a UE3 engine game almost immediately (and before reading it ;p ) but i must say that it's the most refreshing looking UE3 game (next to Too Human) that i've seen announced thus far
glad i bought my 360.
