Capcom finally put a rest on those rumours and reconfirmed it was PlayStation 3 exclusive and that they didn't have plans for releasing it on other platforms.

I don't believe that.

1. Sony would ask them to keep quiet because of loss of sales on the PS3.
2. Capcom said the same thing for RE4.
3. 360 has a bigger user base and Capcom have seen a lot of sucess on the 360.

I still expect the 360 to get it at some point.

yall should all know that the word "exclusive" holds no water with Capcom. It's only exclusive for the time being, same with LP and DR.

I have to disagree with you Jollipop, the 360 doesn't have a bigger user base, the ps3 outsold the 360 even if they have bin sold around ebay they are being used and in Europe it has the most pre-orders in gameconsole history.

Off course the 360 has a lot of users and the game will sell big on the 360 without a doubt. For now it's exclusive but like everyone says Capcom doesn't hold on to the exclusives.

yes the PS3 had a lot of Pre orders, but lets see if people pick them up before we going shouting about it, the ps3 will be a big seller, but due to the price it is going to take more time than the other cheaper options. but to say it has outsold the 360 ..... yeah, maybe in japan, but hell me and most the other people on this site are not in japan soooo i do not belive you have a very good case there, and to be honest, your going to get flamed to fuck for that, that is of course if more than just the handfull on this side of the site replys.

those are only sites from the UK, counting the other country's you will get more pre-orders. And for the pre-order part it only means that i the past consoles didn't get pre-orderd that much, it doesn't mean a thing....only shops like to brag about it.

Guys I'm not attacking the 360 here, if I thought it is bad console I wouldn't own one, I'm just looking at the numbers, and for that I disagreed with fact that the 360 has more users because the sales say it doesn't.

Man it's a good thing I have a week vacation right now, because I seriously need it my mind is floating :)

Majority of people have asked managers at Play.com about pre-orders, and there aren't that many compared to Wii and 360. Especially on Amazon UK. 360 sold out immediately, and same with Wii. PS3's are still available on Amazon UK.

Oh, don't get me started on Woolsworth pre-orders.:\

Even Resident Evil 1 was on competing platforms, Devil May Cry hasn't strayed once.

I see no reason to expect a 360 version at all.

Capcom hasn't even released a game on the PS3 yet. I don't think they expected DR or LP to be as big as they were on 360. I'm sure they're definitely more confident in one of their big franchises to sell during the Holiday season with a bigger PS3 install base. I wouldn't count a 360 port out, but I wouldn't be shocked if it were a timed exclusive for a considerable amount of time.

That wasn't my point really though, If Capcom are considering bring Lost Planet to the PS3 why would they not be considering bring DMC4 to the 360?

Especially since their games have been well receieved on the 360 so far.

Example: DinoCrysis 1 &2 were PS1 console exclusive, but 3 came to the Xbox as an exclusive.

Nothing stays the same forever.
