I don't see the reason why people should import it, unless its alot cheaper to buy it online.

I for one am gonna go to GAME like a normal and pick it up and go home and fire this game up, on my very expensive Sony product PS3 :P hehe

Okay, so i've hacked my way through the first 7 missions and so far, it's i must say that DMC3 much more fun. This game does too little to mix things up in my opinion. Except for the graphics it's a pretty big step backwards compared to DMC 3. Why aren't there any other weapons than Red Queen and Blue Rose? What happened to the style system? Also, so far the game isn't particularly hard. I can take huge amounts of punishment and so far i haven't died even once. As for the difficulty i guess it will be possible to crank it up once i finish the game.

Besides the fact that the game takes the series in the wrong direction it's still fun to play, especially since it's basically the first decent action title on the 360. Though i must say...i miss Dante a lot, Nero just isn't crazy enough. It's way too serious with him as the lead.

Oh well, i'd still say the game is about a 7/10 (and this is not IGN standard, a grade 5 is a decent game!). All in all it's a pretty solid action title.

I NEVER liked Nero, so I will have every mission I play as Nero, which is all of it.
But once I play as Dante...its gonna be good!

But I will buy my copy tomorrow, so meh.

I can say right now that this game will NEVER replace Ninja Gaiden for me especially with NG2 coming.

NG>>>>>>>>>>>DMC

I just hate the fact that Capcom hasen't given Nero any other weapons except the defaults, that is why the game gets boring, atleast for me.

The only thing that is new that hegets is his demon form.

Sath: unfortunatley Dante has been rather downgraded as well, he now only has Rebellion, Ebony & Ivor and the shotgun. Also the 4 styles form DMC3 of course. But still, it would have been nice to see some more melee weapons. Maybe there will be some more later. I'm only on the first mission as Dante.

Uh, how can you hate Nero? His Devil Bringer arm is the biggest addition to the series DMC4 has brought with it, and it's AWESOME for pulling enemies back into combos. :O

Producer on this game is Hideaki Itsuno of DMC2 infame, so its emphasis on accessibility doesn't really come as a surprise. I think ultimately less can be more though, and I think focus can easily replace quantity.

Simon: Less is...just less, this time around. Too few weapons and options just makes for stale gameplay. Really, i'm pretty bored with the game already. If i knew that the demo basically featured a fully pimped out Nero my hype would have been rather much lower.

Also playing with dante sucks because the enemies design and patterns work great for the emo fag Nero and his Devil Bringer, but not so much with Dante.

After 13 missions out of 20, i'm just getting more and more disappointed. Oh well, it still has pretty hot graphics.

DMC3 for the win, I say!

Dante is a cop out though. It's catering to the masses of "eeew, where's Danteee!?"

I'd much rather have seen they concentrated 100% on Nero, which they semi did, but distilled that by splitting up the game on two characters.

Capcom ARE pretty ballsy about chucking out characters in favour of new ones, but I guess sometimes the pressure gets too tough to deal with. Especially on the PS3 where they're expected to capitalize on the old fanbase.

Megaman Zero, Apollo Justice, SF3 cast, RE4 plot change, there are plenty of successful transistions in Capcom history to look back/forward at and appreciate, but I guess this time too much was riding on it.

Simon: i wouldn't have minded a new character, i don't think any one would be whining, IF the whole game was at least on par with DMC3. But really, this just isn't even close. DMC4 looks fantastic but gameplay is way too repetitive to keep interest up. DMC3 i played through many times, at least 5 or 6, but this...i really can't see myself bothering with a second play through after i finish devil hunter.

My fears came to be true in the end, DMC 1 was great, DMC2 sucked balls, DMC3 was great and so, DMC4 was a drag too. I bet DMC5 will be super awesome!

Just NG2 to look forward to then :P
