Agreed, it could look better, I wonder will someone say to them that they are making a game for the XB360 so less of the slacking

i hope they make this game harder to play....because the amount of holes in ones i got on last one was just silly....too easy.

2K Games bought Indie Games, and I'm quite sure a new Links is coming.

Yep, the only stuff Links can't use are the tournament names. The players aren't licensed, except Tiger Woods I guess.

It seems like they've got veryshort and verylong ranges down pat, but from a medium distance, things just look cruddy. I hope that EA is serious about the next-gen, because there's plenty of room for improvement here, and I mean that in a good way. For example, this build of the game (released by EA as a showpiece) has some blatant aliasing issues, so it can't be fully construed as referential to final product.

I have faith. I just hope they realize the real money is in popular _GOOD_ games, not just sure-fire tripe.

Then again, they are EA :/

I'm torn.

Oh and, I really love how the water looks in the last pic. Really makes you feel you're at the coast, near the ocean. Hopefully the developers can make the seas look alot better in the next generation. The only game I thought had real cool water in this gen was that Transworld Surfing-game.

Nothing my PC can't do easily. Where is 'next-gen'?

Tiger Woods 06 on 360 looks leaps and bounds better than it does on PC

They both look like shit,
Commented on 2005-08-28 13:41:28
Yeah they do.. and it's like.. that bit with the water in the first pic.. I guess that'd look realistic if Earth was made of gingerbread.

Hahaha, those are wooden beams to reinforce the sides.

This game looks very average though, nothing to get excited about.

"Tiger Woods 06 on 360 looks leaps and bounds better than it does on PC"

That's not the point, and that was the choice of the developer. Like i said, this is nothing my PC can't do easily.

does not look like HD at all...!

See the thing is, it costs so much money right now to get high quality next-gen games, so for a 3rd party to make a simple gold game opposed to Quake 4, they really don't care about the graphics. They will make just as much through same old bad graphics. It all depends on the market. If they don't feek they'll make much difference in terms of profit by graphics then it doesnt make sense for them to push for the better graphics.

About the game

What's up?
  • GriftGFX
GriftGFX So then top players stop wearing their loot so that they don't get matched with noobs? Sounds like a bad plan. Hopefully anything that implements this stuff leans heavily on ELO first. (1 minute ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts Fuck!!! it just came to me, this type of Micro Transactions Match Making (MTMM) based system will mostly be used to explore children and teenagers. And other companies will follow suit. Jesus... (7 minutes ago)
  • Sdarts
Sdarts "For example, in one implementation, the system may include a microtransaction engine that arranges matches to influence game-related purchases". Today is a really fucking bad and depressing day. (15 minutes ago)

docLEXfisti Yes, EA totally ruined that franchise. DS1 was awesome, DS2 was still great, DS3 was... different (1 Hour ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus *i mean dead space 2. from people who jumped from the first expecting a same game, felt a bit lukewarm a nd a game that was molding it self for the tropes of that gen. (2 Hours ago)
  • nostradamus
nostradamus @asdfg: he, dead space was a perfect pacing game, but it was way more uncharted game, than a resident evil game the first was. different variation, but still awesome. (2 Hours ago)
