Many people have been criticizing the latest installment in the Hitman franchise for different reasons, so they were probably very impatient to get their hands on Hitman HD Trilogy, the collection regrouping Hitman 2, Hitman Contracts, Hitman Blood Money and a code to download the Hitman Sniper Challenge of Absolution. We have captured a few videos of the PS3 version, so get ready to go back in time.
Some things are usually better left in the past. Hitman 2 and Hitman Contracts may have been very good games, but they have aged, not only technically, but also gameplay-wise. Those of you complaining about the disguise system are in for a big surprise when they get shot without even knowing why, even though Agent 47's face is completely hidden under a hood. Disguise yourself as a bodyguard in the Italian mansion of the second episode, and you'll be spotted the minute you walk past another guard. It might make sense that they all recognize each other but as there is no feedback, you're basically left crossing your fingers hoping your cover will hold.
Gameplay has gotten very awkward, especially the clunky controls of Hitman 2, so we doubt many will have the patience to endure the many failed attempts you are bound to experience. The Hitman series has always been more a puzzle game than anything else, so patience has always been part of the fun. But a decade later, we must say we grew tired quite rapidly. There is however tons of content here, with a total of 40 missions, many of which are quite memorable. The presence of Blood Money can also justify a purchase if you are a PS3 owner, since the game was never released in HD before.
Rainbow Six Siege operators deliver their lines better. (15 minutes ago)
@AndreasZ94: Yea.. I'm not even sure the script is that bad. I've only heard a few real scenes (which are much better than the squad chatter). But man the voice over on a whole is quite poor. (15 minutes ago)
@GriftGFX: The premise is basically taking down a drug cartel, right? There are a lot of cool story things they could do with this concept but they just didn't care (17 minutes ago)
Sandbox games can have good voice acting/stories... Wildlands just doesn't seem to be one of them :D (20 minutes ago)
Siege and For Honor are both good games. I think they've been on a bit of a role lately. Hell the narrative in The Division.. a multiplayer focused RPG.. is better than Wildlands so far. (23 minutes ago)
@AndreasZ94: Watch Dogs 2 was fairly well received and it's a fairly recent game. But sure there are a few multiple games in there. (24 minutes ago)
South park is by far their most story driven game. The core of their AAA games are shooter sandboxes and mp "service" games like FH, R6S (38 minutes ago)
