Many people have been criticizing the latest installment in the Hitman franchise for different reasons, so they were probably very impatient to get their hands on Hitman HD Trilogy, the collection regrouping Hitman 2, Hitman Contracts, Hitman Blood Money and a code to download the Hitman Sniper Challenge of Absolution. We have captured a few videos of the PS3 version, so get ready to go back in time.
Some things are usually better left in the past. Hitman 2 and Hitman Contracts may have been very good games, but they have aged, not only technically, but also gameplay-wise. Those of you complaining about the disguise system are in for a big surprise when they get shot without even knowing why, even though Agent 47's face is completely hidden under a hood. Disguise yourself as a bodyguard in the Italian mansion of the second episode, and you'll be spotted the minute you walk past another guard. It might make sense that they all recognize each other but as there is no feedback, you're basically left crossing your fingers hoping your cover will hold.
Gameplay has gotten very awkward, especially the clunky controls of Hitman 2, so we doubt many will have the patience to endure the many failed attempts you are bound to experience. The Hitman series has always been more a puzzle game than anything else, so patience has always been part of the fun. But a decade later, we must say we grew tired quite rapidly. There is however tons of content here, with a total of 40 missions, many of which are quite memorable. The presence of Blood Money can also justify a purchase if you are a PS3 owner, since the game was never released in HD before.
I never understood the point of this Xbox event once it got delayed to 9 days before E3. I think they're trying to save face, after losing face from trying to save face... It's complicated. (17 minutes ago)
@alimokrane: it's only 60mins, so yeah its going to be a console reveal only, then e3 games. (28 minutes ago)
@alimokrane: or in the worst case, we are just in a BIG disappointment in terms of next gen Xbox full stop.....Sony is in a VERY good position right now, PR-wise (51 minutes ago)
The "MS to announce tons of Exclusives at E3" rumour does not bode well for May 21st. Something tells me we are in for a BIG disappointment on Tuesday as everything will be left for E3 (52 minutes ago)
@Moonwalker: As long as they are AAA games, its all good. (1 Hour ago)
@Moonwalker:not sounding great is it. Watch this too, with everything xbox at the moment its a handy reminder of the awesomeness that was the ps4 announcement [url] (5 Hours ago)
