EA Sport released three new images from the Xbox 360-version of Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2006. See them here, and pray for some better graphics when it's released.

Honestly, Prayer cant make EA care about optimizing games to the consoles they're on.
Oh, and Hello all!

Yep, I can see them rolling on up those PS2 graphics to the Xbox 360

Is EA making any games based off the 360 hardware? I really hope madden and other launch games take advantage of 360 and not just port it over. But this is EA after all.... :\

Btw, the Xbox version looks a lot worse than this. Anyway, the game can be good, even on Xbox 360. A good golf game is a must-have for the sleepy night-time Live matches. It's a shame that Microsoft sold their sports line-up. I kinda liked some of their tittles, and Links was one of them.

not true

Madden, NBA, and Need For Speed all look really nice

This does look a hell of a lot better than current-gen Tiger, but that's not saying much. I hope the player models and clothing are extremely nice, because the environments aren't anything special.

And Tupa's right; Madden, NBA, and NFS all look pretty astounding.

Horrible. People seem to be getting use to the idea of next-gen games not being so visually stimulating. That's what EA wants. Don't develope a tolerance already before the systems are even released! No excuse, other than EA having not so talented artists.

No, EA doesn't want to spoil next-gen systems. I think they _want_ to make as good and as good-looking games as possible. But then there is this little factor called money. They get more income out of the current-gen systems than Xbox 360. Developing Xbox 360 games is extremely time-consuming and expensive, and the platform hasn't sold anything yet. It doesn't make sense to develop a multi-threaded game engine just for Xbox 360 and a single-threaded for other platforms. So, you guess it, Xbox 360 gets a ported engine, and when only one core is used, Xbox 360 isn't any better than a mid-range PC. Maybe then when PS3 is released, cross-platform games will begin to take advatange of multiple cores - but it'll be still hard and expensive.

EA should really consider dropping the "Arts" and replacing it with "Average"

Hakkiz, I thought that the Links would make an appearance on the 360 or have EA said NO MORE golf games from a company that knows how to put together a decent golf game?

Agreed Slabs that's about right or it could be EArrrgghh

I'm pretty sure they can't make a golf game look any better sinec the number of polys in the environment will not effect it's appearance in this game due to you being so far away all the time from the buildings and such. The onlything that can really be done visually is unique lighting effects and mabye advanced grass and wind physics systems where you can stare at the grass and see that it's kind of windy and such. Also connecting the sand sprayed into the air from taking a shot out of a bank to the wind physics system would produce a nice affect on realism and immersion.

Those are my thoughts

Oh, yes they can. Even some aniso-filtering would make it look much better - I hate those textures that are blurred like in Xbox games.

Mmmm maybe, but I still feel that Links is a much better game
