Last week, our good friend guts was able to play a new preview version of PREY and he brought us back some gameplay footage recorded on site. A demo has just been announced on Xbox One and PS4 and will be available later this month, but the videos inside were all recorded on PC. Aside from the small sound issues due to the capture itself, he saw no technical problems whatsoever, which is a relief after the fiasco of the PC version of Dishonored 2 (which still runs terribly on high end computers...). You'll have more details on his impressions when we find the time to record a new podcast, but you should know that he has become quite interested in the game ever since he tried it for the first time at the previous preview event. Update: It should now be possible to download all videos.
@jmd749: sure, didn't even knew that wthy were going to do a vr version. fuck that shit, do borderlands 3 already, magic randy! you filthy liar. (5 Hours ago)
Also it doesn't help the fact how zoomed out is the camera. You barely see shit most of the time. Deleted it after 4 hours. -_- (9 Hours ago)
@Nietzsche: Below is the most monotonous game i have played in last years. The game want to be DS and survival game at the same time and fails at both of these things. (9 Hours ago)
@MrWhite: It's good free marketting for the game though. (13 Hours ago)
Basically, it was a hatchet job of a review, awarding it a 3/10. They realised they fucked up and pulled it sharpish. Damage was done, though. (13 Hours ago)
of course, he was talking bollocks. Had he played it for more than 5 minutes, or spent more than 2 looking in the options for the settings, he could have sorted everything out, but he's clearly inept (13 Hours ago)
Basically what Korn said, only he went further in saying you couldn't strafe, jump properly (or at all) and the pace of the game was gimped in favour of the VR mode. (13 Hours ago)
